Did the Champagne tour around the area and on Trip Advisor advice stopped here following a very nice lunch in Epernay. The big houses in Epernay all had visits on but we did not fancy being part of the herd so on advice headed of to Champagne Domi and had a very personal and as it turned out private visit round the winery. following a trip to the cellars and a bit of bottle turning we then had a tasting and gladly purchased a case of the Rose Chanpagne (roll on christmas?).

If doing the champagne route tour make sure you stop here, we are so glad we did.

Read the reviews, put our trust in tripadvisor for a last minute quick stop for Champagne.
Warm welcome even when we turned up unexpected. Informative free visit, cheerful and charming. Excellent price/quality ratio, tasted the tradition and extra-brut, mastercard accepted...
when we run out will mail order (about a euro extra per bottle).
They have recently opened a b&b in their nearby house (Lutz, Grauves, Gites de France), an address to remember.

We visited Champagne Domi based on Tripadvisor ratings. We are so glad we did. We were greeted by Monsieur Lutz, the proprietor who spoke virtually no English, but between us we managed with our limited French and some hand gestures to get by.

Monsieur Lutz was the complete gentleman and after giving us samples of a variety of champagnes, took us on a tour of his underground operations. This is a very small champagne house, but you do get a real demonstration and explanation of how the champagne is made and the different grapes that make it up. The process is rally quite simple, but has to be done correctly of course, but does require careful attention and a lot of knowledge. Releasing the sediment (lees) from the bottle is a site to see. I'm attaching a photo of this.

We also visited Moet and Chandon and Mercier and while these are very much worth visiting, Champagne Domi is better. I also believe his top of the line champagne is also excellent and rivals the very best at a quarter of the price. Yes, you do get to taste the best at no charge!

Fantastic!
