Basic accommodation, good if you only want a place to sleep. We chose this place as most of the traditional B&B's were fully booked for the bank holiday weekend. We did not expect much and did not get much, if you have the option would recommend booking a more traditional B&B where you will get the full Champagne experience and perhaps a taster from their family Champagne brand and a visit to their cellars. Free Parking and Wifi are a plus. It is dated and needs some TLC.

This hotel gives you the basics you need - just don't expect luxury. We stayed for 3 nights and it is our second time to stay in this hotel.
The best location - The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Avenue de Champagne, most of champagne houses and town centre.
Free easy parking and WIFI. Coffee-making facilities, what unusual in France! Good value for money!

Well located for the Avenue of Champagne but a fair walk from the centre of town. Given free parking and internet and tea and coffee making this hotel is reasonable value even though it could be "freshened up" a bit.

Kyriad offers basic European accommodations. Nothing overly fancy (although free wi-fi was a plus), but was clean and close to everything we wanted to see. Mercier and Castellane are literally a 5 minute walk. The complimentary tea and coffee were unexpected, although very nice. We would definitely stay here again, as the money we saved on a hotel allowed us to purchase even more champagne!

Good value, great breakfast.

This hotel is perfectly located at the far end of the Avenue De Champagne. A slow stroll into town is approximately 10 minutes down a gentle gradient past dozens of Champagne houses. It was easy to find and parking was easy. All staff we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Check-in was quick and painless.

Our room looks like it had recently been refurbished. It was tastefully decorated and was quite spacious. There were plenty of freebies on offer, such as slippers, shower gel, tea & coffee, etc. There were also 2 mains power sockets available for use. We were on the ground floor, and had a single patio door going out to a small section of grass at the rear of the hotel. One feature that I loved was a rustic wooden shed styled door on the outside, which effectively doubled up as a second set of blackout curtains. There was a huge mirror in the bathroom.

It later turned out that the walls (and door) were quite thin. However, we were fortunate that it wasn't too busy during our stay.

Unfortunately the refurb didn’t quite make it to the far side of the bathroom – it seems that the further you got away from the door, the older and more tired the décor! The shower curtain looked, well, lets just say that I didn’t want any kind of contact with it! The shower head sprayed sideways as well as forwards, and as a result, there were several small patches of mould forming on the walls. The extractor system also seemed to be on strike, we ended up having to open the patio door in the bedroom to demist the huge bathroom mirror. In the great tradition of the French putting high voltage electrical equipment in a wet room, a 230V power socket was located just above and behind the toilet, and a mains powered hair dryer was also nearby.

The bed was extremely comfortable and gave an excellent night’s sleep. There were plenty of spare pillows to boost the height. I really didn’t want to get up in the morning - this is a huge positive!

One of the biggest disappointments was the restaurant – or lack of. Apparently they don’t open it at weekends. It would have been nice to have been told this when checking in as otherwise we’d have eaten on our first trip into town. We now had to venture out a second time.

Breakfast was excellent, I can honestly say it’s one of the best I’ve had at any hotel, ranging from the cheap & cheerful to 4-star establishments. There was a huge selection of jams & honey, meat, cheese, bread and pastry as well as the usual breakfast cereals. Tea, coffee, chocolate and several fruit juices were also available.

There was a little embarrassment when it came to paying as the bill was E20 higher than it should have been. It would appear that their centralised computer system didn't advise the staff that we’d been given an online advance booking discount. A quick show of the printout of the booking confirmation resulted in a polite recalculation to the correct price.

The staff kindly gave us permission to leave the car in the car park for several hours whilst we popped into town to see the Sunday market. However, this was extremely limited and extortionately overpriced. I must stress that the disappointment with the market has *nothing* to do with the hotel and is only given to help other visitors save their time and money.
