“A must”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

Tours are available in different languages. We had to wait 30 minutes for an English tour to begin, so we went down the street to Collard-Picard for a glass of bubbles and returned for our tour.

Moet et Chandon does a fine job sharing their product and production with NO hint of elitism. We learned much during the cellar tour and were pleased that we bought the Vintage Champagne tasting. Photos are allowed and make a great memory of a trip to Epernay. Our guide spoke great English with a charming French accent, of course.

You must have your picture taken with the statue of Dom Perignon outside the building.

We often shy away from large producers, favoring the little guy. But Moet is just too classy to pass up. We like their products even more for having visited.

“Top end of town”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

After visiting some small champagne producers, the mega house of Mercier, Moët and Chandon is the one to top it all off. A small intimate tour with a group of about 10, personalised and comfortable, ending up with a sommelier tasting some amazing bubbles. We chose to try the vintage champagnes and the rest of our group wished they has done the same for a few extra. Worth the trip.

“A classy, polished, cellar tour”
Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

Moet et Chandon has been around for centuries, and it shows. From stylish buildings to manicured grounds, and modern decor in the shop. Our tour guide was excellent - polite, friendly and knowledgeable. A few minutes of history, a very short video, and then perhaps 30-40 minutes underground in the cellars, followed by a tasting of 1-2 champagnes (your choice, c euro 24 for 2).

“An excellent tour”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

We recently took the one hour tour of part of the extensive cellars, and found it to be extremely informative and interesting. The guide spoke perfect English and was very willing to answer our questions. At the end of the tour the tasting was a full glass of champagne rather than just a sip which made our time even more enjoyable. The shop offered a wide variety of champagne as well as other gifts and mementos.

“Fine”

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting and there is no doubt it was very interesting visiting and listening to the history of Moët. The tour is full of adverts, information and a historic trip around the cellars. You do not get to see how things are done now (I think they would like you to think that all the millions of bottles are still turned by hand) but you do get to see how it used to be done and get to taste a glass at the end.
