Tour of the cellars was extremely interesting - explained in detail how champagne is made from start to finish. Only downside was the large group

“True luxury with amazing staff”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

We really enjoyed the visit of Moet et Chandon's cellars and grounds. The luxury of this house is amazing and the professionality of the staff guiding you through the visit and tasting is superb. The boutique is maybe a bit too commercial. The cellars are really cool (btw; the same as Dom Pérignon). Learned a lot on Champagne making as well.

“Unique experience”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Whilst a little expensive, the experience of visiting the Moët et Chandon "cave" was well worth the cost. A walking tour of approximately forty minutes, with a guide who was informative even though her commentary was not all that clear. Seeing the hundreds of rows of champagne bottles was mind-boggling.
The wine tasting at the end of the underground tour was relaxing and a fitting end to an enjoyable experience. We found the items for sale at their shop to be very expensive.
When in Epernay, you have to do at least one "cave tour". There are quite a few available - Moët et Chandon's would be one of the mre expensive.

“Now you know why it's expensive”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

This is arguably one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life.

Champagne is a luxury, and now that I've seen how much work it is to produce and to see just how much effort goes into making it, I know why good champagne is expensive.

The tour of the caves is really impressive. But what's even better is the tasting after the tours. If you're going to do the tasting, go all out and try a vintage champagne. You won't regret it.

We opted for the Vintage champagne tasting bracket and are so glad
The staff are very well versed in all aspects of the history of this champagne house and have clearly pride in their brand and company
The boutique is very well stocked and good prices too, so stock up
