We stayed en route to the Alps and arrived late. Check in was quick and efficient, the rooms and bathrooms very clean and most importantly the bed was big and comfortable. I wish we had had time to explore the town more but we were keen to get going the next day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel as a pit-stop and will definitely stay again.

We chose here because it was within walking distance to many of the champagne houses in Epernay (and I thought we might not want to drink and drive).
First problem was it was difficult to find (our tomtom/satnav kept trying to take us the wrong way down one way streets which didnt help), and when we arrived at 9pm we couldnt get parking outside and the underground carpark had closed, so we had to park further away which was annoying with luggage.
The next day we had to move the car in the morning, so we ended up just driving to the champagne houses anyway.
Staff were polite, but not helpful when enquiring about parking or about which champagne houses were open over Easter. The room was slightly smaller than other ibis hotels, but good comfy bed and good blackout blinds.
We didnt eat out in Epernay, but drove to other towns instead. So we really didnt need to bother with trying to find a central hotel. The champagne region is best explored with a car anyway, so we didnt need to stay right in the town centre. We could have stayed in another smaller village or on the outskirts of Epernay and just driven.
Breakfast was ok, plenty of crossionts, bread, ham, yoghurt and cereal.

If i was coming to the Champagne region again I wouldnt stay here. I would stay either on the outskirts of Epernay or in another village. And I would recommend coming in summer or late autumn when the vineyards are at their most picturesque. And there is less fog.

And I would research which champagne houses you want to go to as some of them require appointments/reservations. There are over 12000 champagne houses, but only the bigger ones do tours of the cellars etc. Mercier and Castelleon were very good in Epernay (didnt do any others in Epernay, so cant compare)

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet, as it is on a quiet little road and backs onto a pedestrianised square.

Stayed 3 nights and found this to be a handy location for the town itself and for the Avenue de Champagne. 15-25 minute walk to and from champagne houses (despite the snow!) and it's easy to explore the rest of the town for evening drinks and dinner. Parking at Arcades (just around the corner from the hotel by car and a handy flight of stairs gives pedestrian access right opposite the hotel's front door) is reasonably priced, and secure, at around 16 Euros for 3 days. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need unless you intend to spend a lot of time in your room. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel but found a fabulous little kiosk nearby selling pastries etc. (exit through the back door of the hotel, walk to the right across the courtyard/square) and plenty of patisseries in town. Enjoyed visiting the food market about 100m away from hotel on Saturday morning.

We stayed here on 26th December en route to south of France, and to buy some champagne, of course! The hotel was easy to book online, a good price, and check in was polite, friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to use this again as an overnight stay in Epernay, or for Reims

The Ibis chain can be relied upon to offer a good standard of accommodation and service wherever you go. This is true of the Ibis in Epernay as well even if the sameness of them all makes it rather an unexciting experience. That is the trade-off of course - predictability vs. adventurousness. The things that matter for an overnight stay are fine - room a reasonable size although not spacious, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and functional, wifi working well and free. The breakfast is good quality and all very clean and efficient. The Receptionist who checked us in was friendly and helpful as were the staff in the morning.

The location is very nice for wandering into town for the evening, especially as we are always there in winter when the skating rink is installed and the lights up. The parking is not the best feature - we left our car just around the corner and should have bought a ticket. We could not find a machine however so took a chance on a parking warden not turning up for the one-and-a-half hours before the end of the paying period! And it was OK.

Room Tip: Our room at the back had a nice outlook over the "Arcades"

Stayed at Ibis Epernay on our way from Paris back to Germany. Location of the hotel is good, right in the centre and close to the Champagne houses. We had two rooms and were given rooms beside each other with connection door, which was very handy. Breakfast was very ok. Parking is underground with easy access to the hotel. For loading and unloading your car you can park infront of the hotel.

Whilst in Epernay try the cellar tour at Moet & Chandon.

There are some decent restaurants in close proximity. Ask reception for a suggestion.
