I agree completely with talen4's review, and I think we had the same or similar room. The bed was a king-size and the room had all the basic amenities you need. Good value for money and friendly staff. There was a computer with internet, which was nice, though it was configured so you couldn't change the keyboard setting and you were limited to 15 minutes per session. Note that breakfast is extra - we got burned on that. All in all, a pretty good hotel in a beautiful town.

We booked this hotel because everywhere we wanted to stay was already booked. This should have been a warning, but we thought that we could pretty much know what we were getting. Unfortunately it fell below what we were expecting.

When we booked there was no indication that building works were going on at the hotel - so it wasn't until we got in the lift and saw the poster, that we realised. The works seems to consist of introducing (much needed) air conditioning in each room and as a result there were big holes for the pipes from the corridor into each room. This meant that the noise was awful. You had to have the window open -therefore got all the usual 'drunks in the middle of a city centre' noise and the 'drunken guests arriving back' noise through the hole into the corridor.

The rack rate for the hotel does seem to be good value - but by the time you have added the breakfast and parking it soon became the most expensive place we stayed on this trip.

Parking is a problem if your vehicle is over 2 metres tall - we had our bikes on the roof, so were able to put them in the bike room. Again, sounds like a good idea - but we returned on a couple of occasions to find the door wide open, so if you're going to use it take a good lock (although there is nothing to lock them to).

Breakfast was great - best bit about the hotel. Room was average for this type of hotel - small, with no tea & coffee making facilities. Stay here only if you have to.

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Ibis Epernay Centre Ville. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.

We are sorry about the hole on the wall because of the air conditioning works. Unfortunately, we could not have finish the works before having starting it.
We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
About the bike's room, the receptionnists open the door for the guest and when the guest have finish the thing they have to do, they just have to shut it.

We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.

Sincerely,
Ibis Epernay General Manager

Went round twice with our GOS before parking at the covered marking and walking under archway then turning left to find hotel. You have to drive past the market with the market on your right then either turn right immediately after the market (Ibis sign) to get to the front of the hotel or go a little further and turn right at the lights then turn right into Parking Les Arcades. Look for the spots marked Ibis then go up the stairs to the street and the hotel is across the street. Typical Ibis hotel in a good central location with an easy walk into town. Towels were a little thin and there was no hand towel, otherwise your typical reliable Ibis. Would stay here again.

Extremely good staging ground to explore the local vineyards and champagne houses, small rooms, but clean. The beds were comfortable and solid, we were on the top floor so had a pleasant sky light. Did not get any outside noise either; breakfast was brilliant. If you want a place to put your bags and rest your bones without spending an arm and a leg, go for this.

Just a stop over back to UK but a planed one to go to the Champagne area etc , so we were very happy when we checked in to find very friendly service , a spotless room good size bath and shower, and a very good nights sleep in a lovely big bed.
Breakfast was superb very good large choice , and good hot coffee.
There is a very spacious underground garage for use at 9€ for 24h or after 7pm and all day sunday free on the very smart streets our you have to pay 2€ for 2 hours max.
There is a lift to all floors .

Room Tip: 500 room for good quiet night
