This hotel is really well located for seeing the centre of Epernay. The only question is do you really want to see the centre of Epernay.
The hotel forms part of one side of the square in front of the townhall, which looks set out for events and so may well be a great viewing platform should any events ever happen. Reception is on the first floor (not the ground floor for those who speak American) but there is a lift. The hotel has made arrangements with an adjacent car park but you will need to check-in first to arrange this, but there is an unloading space.
The receptionist was helpful and as with many Ibis's was also the barmaid so was often struggling with demands.
Our room was a nice size and certainly not as cramped as some Ibis's. Storage was adequate. Limited free wifi was available, enough for checking e-mails The shower room was well appointed and well lit. The TV was a small flat screen affair with a few english channels.
We didn't part-take of the breakfast but the seating area for this looked stylish.
It is unlikely we will return but that is entirely down to a town that we found a bit boring.More
