Fantastic location - great service and just warm and inviting on arrival. will visit again and recommend to others. The spa was lovely also. the rooms were good size and very modernised.
we would recommend offering free access to the spa however and we were charged and should not have been considering the Easter prices. thank you!

Stayed hear for one night on way back from Alps. As a hotel for 1 or 2 nights for a couple using it as a base to explore the region it is ideal - staff welcoming and friendly, breakfast ok. Not a top end boutique hotel but warm and welcoming. Champagne bar in basement looked good although didnt get a chance to try it. The only rooms that were available when we booked were in the attic level - the rooms were well kitted out (nespresso machine a nice touch) but the eaves made for some strange angles and an awkward bathroom. The hotel pool is also a little bizarre - very cold and more of a plunge pool after using the hot tub than a pool to do lengths in.

Room Tip: Try and void the rooms on the top floor in the attic (rooms 11 and 12) unless you like knocking your...

Central location in Epernay, 100 meters from the Avenue de Champagne. Got excellent help from the staff in locating the best restaurant I've visited for a while, Chez Max (separate review). Rooms were nice, tidy and what you would expect from a hotel of this quality.

Only negative regarding pricing, we first got a price from the receptionist, but after checking the price on hotel websites we got it 50 euros cheaper. Nothing major.

Dear Jolanger,

We thank you for your lovely comment and are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Jean Moët & Spa.

Sometimes we put some rooms at -15 % but they are no refundable. When you booked your room there was no room at this price. That's why there was a difference in the price.

We hope to welcome you another time in our hotel.

A centrally located hotel of considerable charm and ambiance. We booked an attic room which had lots of character although bed was on the small side. The receptionist was pleasant but wasn't very forthcoming about restaurant recommendations and just indicated that there was a good one on the street behind the hotel. However, I think at the time she was probably busy as she seemed to be alone as she also was running the bar when we ordered champage. Anyway we found a good restaurant in the end and we would definitely stay here again when champagne tasting but would look for a good price to include breakfast.

The staff here spoke excellent English and were very helpful in making reservations at Champagne houses for tours. We visited just after New Year's and many places were closed, but the staff was so helpful that she found places for us to visit, made our reservations, and helped us with train schedules to visit Reins.

The room was very nice - high quality sheets, towels, furnishings, etc. Large bed and room by European standards, and very comfortable. The location was great too - we walked to all of the Champagne houses and restaurants, and walked to the train station as well.

The hotel was somewhat pricey, but worth every Euro.

Room Tip: This is a small hotel, but you can choose your room when you book. Booking online is simple using th...

Great location and excellent staff. Very clean hotel and quiet. Helpful advice for restaurants / directions and they lent us their laptop for email reading. Parking was in a public surface lot about a block from the hotel and was fine.

The hotel is literally a one minute walk from the Avenue de Champagne and if that's not why you're in Epernay then I don't know what you're doing visiting! Parking on the street requires topping up the meter but a little under 5 Euros got me parking from 9am to 3:00pm - not a huge hardship to make sure I came back (or left) by then but if you are staying longer then there is a car park 50m walk away. The receptionist could not have been nicer to us - I don't speak French but at least I give it a go ......she put me out of my misery by speaking impeccable English and once explaining everything I needed to know about the hotel, she went on to give us recommendations for dinner that were walking distance. After looking these up on the complimentary Wi-Fi we made a choice and she helpfully phoned through a reservation for us. The room was beautiful and the shower was enormous. Yes, the floorboards creak - if you can't put up with the "character" of an old house, go book into a Holiday inn - you don't belong here!

We opted not to have breakfast here so have no comment on this. The only, single negative comment that I have about this hotel is that the coffee in the room is charged for - yes, it's a Nespresso machine, but I really think that a cup of coffee could be thrown in for free .........

Lastly, I have to recommend a trip downstairs to the Champagne bar that is under the hotel - we had a great time exploring unusual champagnes from the local area that you can buy by the glass - a different 9 growers are showcased each week and it's a very reasonable way to experience something different. Hat's off to Damian for being a great host for a couple of hours and closing much later than he should have :-)

Room Tip: We had a Mathusalem room and have absolutely no complaints.
