Very friendly and welcoming with helpful information about local event - July 14 feu d'artifice. Accommodation is quite basic with bizarre en suite facilities, but quite adequate for the price. Hotel is being renovated and doors being added to en suites. Some noise from other guests. Parking in road is free and appears quite safe. We would stay here again if passing through Epernay.

This hotel is definitely a one-star in terms of amenities (outdated furnishings, no sinks in certain rooms, paper thin walls, etc.) but the friendly new owners make up for it. They recommended great local restaurants off the beaten tourist track and their breakfast was better than most that I have been offered by hotels in France. The rooms are basic, but given that we spent no little time in ours, it wasn't an issue for us. And the price cannot be beat. The owners mentioned that they are currently renovating the rooms one by one so I am not sure how much longer it will be before they raise their rates.

Really liked it. Yes, it is basic but clean, central and great value.

Bathroom arrangement is fine and all the rooms are quiet, bright, clean and neat.

Lovely breakfast and helpful owners. Would stay again

We stayed here two nights and its location is great and there was free secure parking for our motorbike.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic, but clean with a shower and sink in a curtained off area. The toilet was shared which wasn't great as you could hear people using it because it was right next to our room.

Don't bother with the breakfast, it was a bit stale and not great for 7 euros each.

Overall, if we were going to Epernay again we would probably stay here if we wanted a budget option but if you want a romantic weekend away, don't stay here.

This small budget hotel is excellently located, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Epernay. After one night, we decided to stay on for a second, but had to change rooms as the hotel was fully booked. Our first room, at the top of the stairs on the first floor, was bright, clean, neatly furnished and quiet, with a shower, toilet and basin. Whilst the toilet and shower were separated from the bedroom by a light curtain only, at E40, we still thought this very good value. Our second room, also on the first floor, faced onto a side street, and was also quiet and simply but nicely furnished. We had a shower and hand basin, with the toilet only a few doors away ... I must admit it was a bit of a challenge to get to the hand basin as the access was rather small and cramped ... but at E33 who was complaining and it did provide a few photo opportunities (a bit like Poo getting stuck in the honey pot! - Aren't memories like this what France is all about!!).

The lady who runs the hotel was most helpful in her suggestions of where to eat and what to see. We also got secure parking in front of the hotel for free ... we would certainly stay here again ... and we put the money we saved on accommodation towards a lovely bottle of vintage Moet et Chandon ...

This hotel is in a perfect downtown location within a few minutes walk to very nice shops and Champagne houses. Our room was a great value for the price and it seemed to be recently upgraded. The breakfast was served in a pleasant dinning room and was a good value of great French breads, coffee and juice. We will stay again when we return to Epernay.
