“Lovely place”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Just had a lovely couple of hours at this chateau. The inside of the chateau is small, so doesn't take long to go around, but the views of the gardens are fantastic from the windows. On a really hot day, there is plenty of shade to walk under in the garden. For 2 adults and 2 children it cost 30 Euros for the house and garden. Outside the entrance there is a place where you can buy baguettes, crêpes and drinks. For anyone needing to post a card back home, there is a letter box right at the entrance! Parking is all along the roadside. We got there about 11.45am and we found a space, but it was already very busy. All in all, a nice place to visit.

“Beautiful Gardens”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

What a wonderful day we had at Chateau Villandry. The gardens are truly beautiful and so many different gardens to explore! Even our daughters (aged 8 and 10) appreciated how picturesque it was. My youngest said it was "the best day of my life". Take your camera as there are so many good viewpoints and try to go in good weather. The castle is also very interesting and there are some wonderful views from the turrets. Well worth a visit

“Magical garden!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We did not visit the interior of the chateau but just the immense and beautiful Renaissance gardens. These are mix a vegetable, herbs and flower gardens. There is also a lot of waterfalls and fountains. Worth your time and vey kids friendly outing.

I visited the gardens in 2005 and August 2013. It was my favorite both times. The gardens are interesting and exquisite. I think it was mostly flowers in 2005. There were so many vegetables when we visited today. Loved both experiences. I'll be back! Didn't go indoors.
