I booked a hotel across from the train station and found that it was an easy walk to this most sacred basilica. It is a must see. Go to the crypt to see the reliquary/tomb of St. Martin. Attend mass in the crypt if possible. There are several other powerful sites nearby, the cathedral St. Gatien (most magnificent structure), and the Chapel of The Holy Face. Awesome!

We said wow when we saw this beautiful basilica both at night and during the day when we were able to visit the inside.
