We came here for our last night in Tours and were very glad that we did. Everything from the food to the service was superb. The prices were also very reasonable which was a pleasant surprise. We had three courses and a lovely bottle of wine and it only came to around 30 euros. Considering that the night previous we had eaten in the awful Hippopotamus restaurant and paid 20 euros for a horrible burger and a martini, I am relieved that we came here for our last night and experienced fine French cuisine.

“Thank goodness for L'Arome”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I chanced on L'Arome while trying to find an alternative to the mass market restaurant scene in the Old Town. The menu and staff are extraordinary. Every item on the menu was translated and enthused before we settled on three courses with wine matching of their choice. The food and service was so very good that I went back the following night and we went through the same process with different items from the menu. Everything was wonderous, unexpected flavours, superb combinations which I could never achieve with my cooking in a million years, and all served with dignity and French aplomb. I was absolutely enthralled and captivated for two nights.
PS it does get busy so book in advance or get there early

“Creative cuisine”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

Superb menu. Inventive, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented food served in a friendly and informal atmosphere. . The staff were helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our meal so much that we booked again for another night so that we could try some of the other dishes on the menu. We were not disappointed! Excellent value and highly recommended.
