The hotel is good. The location is good, near the train station. The coffe room is a little small. The breakfast is good. The staff is polite and give the basic informations about the city. I recommend.

This station side hotel is perhaps in the least attractive part of Tours. It is only a ten minute walk to escape and this is necessary if you want to eat. The hotel's core business is bus tourists who invade late evening and depart just after sun up. There are about 6 free parking places otherwise the pay car park is 8€ a night. I have to say that the team of staff whilst we were staying were excellent and went above and beyond to compensate for any shortcomings mentioned. Rooms are fine, clean, comfy beds. Sep. wc. No proper shower, an attachment over bath. One half litre bottle of water supplied for three nights. Cupboard where fridge could live is bare. Double glazing is effective but if you want to sleep with the window ajar, it opens no further, you will have to have ear plugs. Breakfast is fine but never changes and at €14 a head is verging on robbery. The hotel is surrounded by other Accor establishments and they seem to have a firm grip on the town so little competition.

I spend to days in the beautiful city of Tours France and stay at the Mercure hotel right in the center of the city.
well this hotel is absolutely terrible my room was like a closet ,the cleaniness was very poor and the top of that you can not sleep the fact all night you here the flushing of the bathrooms the doors slamming the conversation of the guests ,the breakfast buffet was good but the person in charge was not at the best.
I like to know who decide to give 3 stars to that hotel and that affect the reputation of Accor how have some greta hotel like Sofitel ,Pullman and Novotel.

We stayed for three nights at this hotel in Tours, while there to follow two stages of the 100th Tour de France. Nice sized room with one queen bed. Shower and sink in one room; toilette in a separate room. Very comfortable, although AC was not as powerful as Americans are used to. Hotel right next to train station, and yet, windows are doubled and no noise from the outside was heard at all, unless we decided to open the window to hear it. Front staff, especially Omar, helped us in every way needed. A fan was provided to enhance our comfort. Parking is very convenient and free; it is right in front or to the side of the hotel. There is a happy hour at this hotel as well as breakfast, which is extensive, providing protein, fruit, and carbs, including pastries, croissants, and muffins. Very pretty breakfast room. Close to train station, Visitor Information Office, and parks in downtown. A market, Simply Market, is across from the front of the train station, and McDonald's (for those who miss that), is on the corner.

Owned by Ibis, there is another full service Ibis Hotel across the street with a restaurant in it that stays open till 11 pm, with nice indoor and outdoor eating areas. I think this is a good chain to use when traveling in France if you want a nice environment at a reasonable cost.

We stayed for one night on our trip to Loire Valley as a stop-over.

The receptionist spoke perfect British-English, which was surprising so we had no problem in communication. He was very helpful and friendly.

The room was standard, not much to expect. The railway station was in front of the hotel, yet still quiet. The hotel was not very close to the old town, we preferred to drive there.

Wi-fi was free in the room, which was great.

Parking was easy in front of the hotel for a daily base of 8 euros.

Tours is not the best place to stay while visiting Loire valley, there's not much to see in the city.
