My daughter and I had a wonderful dinner here. Enjoyed Loire wines and delicious food. The rognons were...interesting! Never had kidneys before. Probably never will again. The beef filet was yummy, as were desserts.

It does not happen often that a 6 course meal get top grades all the way. A three course meal plus the courtesy dishes of the chef and an additional cheese plate made this evening the highlight of a weeklong trip.
The goose liver starter is a must and I highly recommend the lamb as a mail course.
The service is perfect and attentive.
Best grades all the way. Highly recommended!

You could not better it for the money. All the extra tasters and an incredibly low priced fixed menu. The loveliest waiter with faultless English and good taste in wine. Nice vista of the fountain and the ornate station. Didn't try anywhere else in Tours so can't compare but if you went here you wouldn't go far wrong.

We had eaten at the Odeon on several occasions, but many years ago. Whilst shopping in Tours recently, we thought that we would give it another try for lunch. We very much enjoyed the experience.

The restaurant had changed hands since our previous visit and the food was probably better than we remembered it to be under the previous owner. We were seated at one of the window tables, which we rather liked, as we could people-watch and see the comings and goings to the station.

The menu is very traditionally French and everything was very attractively presented. We all opted for the table d'hôtes menu at 28 euros for 2 courses or 33.90 euros for 3.

The meal started in grand style with a small 'mis en bouche', which was a sea food flan. I ordered Coquilles St. Jacques as a starter. These were cooked to perfection, but unfortunately the accompanying bacon crisps were rather too crisp. Very, very crisp in fact. This, in my opinion, was the only fault I could find with the meal.

My main course of duckling with foie gras sauce was extremely good and quite copious. We needed a break before attacking our desserts. Mine was delicious. The menu called it a 'financier' of pears (a small cake made with ground almonds). The description didn't do it justice. It turned out to be a plate of wonderful little desserts along with the pear cake. The financier was exceptionally good.

To accompany the meal my husband chose a carafe of the house Chinon red wine, which was excellent.

Considering the quality of the food and the efficient service we considered that our meals were very good value for money. We could certainly recommend it to anyone else.
