Junior suite had everything and more. Good location Beautiful building very central. Nice owners.Clean and pleasant. Only one point of improvement: please make a rooftop window curtain. So next time we enjoy our stay even more.

High ratings in different portals (here and booking.com) but very negative experience.
The hotel smelled for humidity -- it could be useful to keep windows open in hot and sunny days. It's our free advice to hosts.
Strange rules -- no eating and drinking in rooms! Sorry, we are at holidays in France and are not allowed to take a glass of wine and a piece of cheese or small bisquits sitting in our own room and reminding about last day events... Be serious...
Only positive moment -- close to city centre and a good bistro and boulangerie just around the corner.

Trust us to arrive on a day when the Grand Braderie was on. Lots of road closures made it difficult to get to the hotel. Under normal circumstances I am sure it would be fine. I loved the place. So very French. Really easy to walk in to the centre. Plenty of things to see and do.

1. When I check in, the old lady(the owner) told me that eating is only allowed in dining room.

So I bought some food, went to dining room and started eating.
Old lady saw me and suddenly made an angry face. And she shouted.

" this is not your home!!!! My home!!! "
I embrassed and asked why.
She shouted again,
"You must get ★permission★ to eat, even in the dining room!! Don't behave as you in your own home!! This is not your home!!"

I became really angry and said
" You said I can eat in the dining room!! "

She trembled and stared me. She said -
" Yes but why didn't you ask me if you can eat food here first! "

Suddenly she mumbled " it is not right. It is not right " several times, speaking french, and got out.

This was what happened to me.
This old woman has no respect for customers.
She thinks hotel is her private area.

2. Breakfast is 8 euro - NEVER TRY IT
Menu consists of 5 slices of bread, milk, cereal, Jam, Yogurt, coffee or tea.

That's all. It is 8 euro.

No cheese no meat no ham no vegetables
No egg no fruit.
but it is 8 euro. Wow.

Even the 18 euro hostels(breakfast free) provided me much better breakfast.

Really disappointing experience in tours.

I booked a twin room on the ground floor as I am disabled. We were given a nice room but on the third floor without a lift. Was told that it was my mistake and they didn't have another room available. Found another hotel but we were prevented to leave, they confiscated our luggage, became physical with my daughter when she tried to leave. Thereatened with the police, we should have agreed to see the police really. We were forced to pay for the four nights booked as miraculously, the room I had originally booked became available. This could have been a pleasant stay but it was dirty under the bed, the pillow cases had not been changed and were stained, wi-fi didn't reach our room and there were ants everywhere. We used it as a base just to sleep but it left a very bitter taste in our mouths.

Room tip: Be careful when you book
