We decided to stay in Orlean as a stop over on our way down to Provence. Orleans it self is a lovely place to visit regardless of a stopover.
The hotel was chosen due its proximity on the Loire and distance to the town, also it was dog friendly.
After a long drive down from Calais, we were greeted with a very warm welcome and bottle of water. Our room was small but inviting, modern bathroom and we had a great view of the Loire and the bridge.
After a short freshening up we had a nice long walk around the town.
There is a car park not far from the hotel but the hotel staff went out of their way and allowed us to park next door to the hotel. I could not fault the hospitality.
Orleans is a lovey place, a cathedral and history. More
