“Great hotel for family stopover in Orleans”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

Chose this as a stopover on the way back through France. It is a step above the motorway stopovers. And great location to experience the beauty & ambience of the old town.
The staff are friendly and helpful with offers to help with bags, and also to guide you right to/from parking under the building. Not many spaces, so make sure of reserving if you want to park there.
The rooms have been nicely refurbished. We had a 4-bed family room which had a double & 2 single beds. The bathroom was good, with a great shower unit that the kids really enjoyed.
We took breakfast in the hotel, which was a little more expensive than elsewhere, but equally gave the best choice and as much as you wanted.
A great location too, being only 5 mins walk from the cathedral and centre of the old town. Which are well worth exploring. I'd recommend this as a great stopover.

Only there for one night on the way to the Ardeche, arrived around 4.30. Manager waved us into the very secure underground car park. Dropped off the bags and went and had a stroll around a very pretty and lively French town. It is definitely worth a visit, the kids enjoyed the live music by the river and all the lovely quiet alleyways, shame they were digging up the square, but it should be nice next summer :).
Hotel is small, so desk is not manned all the time, so if you need stuff from the car in the middle of the night it might be a problem. You get a code for the door if coming in late.
Room was clean and spacious enough for 3 of us. Our shower had been renewed so bathroom was more than adequate... Breakfast was plentiful, I had thought it was included but it was not badly priced.
Overall a nice place and friendly staff, nice and central, but easy to get back on the road in the morning for the rest of the journey.

Stayed here on the way to south of France. We were really impressed by the friendliness of the hotel staff, who took us down to the secure underground car park to leave the car. Whilst the hotel from the outside doesn't look amazing, the interior was fine and the room we were given was quite newly refurbished I think and was modern and very clean. The beds were really comfy and we had one room with two singles and a double as we didn't want a separate room for the kids. The bathroom was well stocked and pristine clean with a reasonably powered shower. There were extra pillows and towels and a hair dryer. Air con would have been good but we could open the windows fully to get a nice breeze.
The continental buffet breakfast was fab and you could have whatever you wanted, with a great selection of teas, cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt and pastries.
The hotel was very centrally placed for sightseeing in Orleans.
All in all a great budget hotel and would defo go again if we were in France.

Room Tip: When I said I didn't go in lifts on the way to the underground car park,, the man on the desk ga...

Reasonably easy to find in centre of city. Wouldn't want to stay longer as our room overlooked ugly buildings and not very attractive at all. However we could walk into city centre easily for the afternoon and evening and we got a lovely breakfast across the road at a local boulangerie in the morning.

Most importantly though, the room was spotlessly clean with good bathroom.

The hotel is at a major junction/roundabout near the train station. No problem at all with noise (even in the most amazing electrical storm that lasted over 3 hours).

The reception is on the first floor and reached by either a small set of stairs or a lift. Very welcoming and helpful with advise about where restaurants, sights etc are.

Our room was on the fourth floor and was a pleasant surprise. Very comfortable and very clean. No air con so can get hot. Luckily we had carried a small fan with us.

Short walk to restaurant area (main square currently under going renovation and is likely to be dusty and uneven for a few months yet) and old town.

Very impressed with Orleans and with this hotel

The man behind the desk was very friendly and spoke very good English. Our car is a 7seater and couldn't fit in the underground carpark but there is meter street parking. Great location and we walked into the city centre to get dinner at a pizzeria. We had a family room which consisted of a double, single and bunk beds. There wasn't loads of space but the beds were comfy and the bathroom was very clean. we didn't have breakfast as we got back on the road early. Good hotel to stay in on the way to the South of France.

This hotel is on a very good location nearby the centre of Orelans. Walking it is only 15 minutes tot the most interesting part of the city. The entrance is complecated but the rooms are very wll furnisched and a fine bathroom. Possibility to park the car under the building for €18, Easy to drive in the garage but the receptionist of the hotel is a very good guide. Breakfast ok.
