Visted for lunch today after reading a few reviews and we were not disappointed. The beef with foie gras was superb as were the duck and fish mains. The poached pear desert devine

“I can confirm it is still topclass!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2011

I ate here about 18 months ago having just happened upon it whilst looking for a restaurant in the station area. I came away very pleasantly surprised with the standard of cooking. I recently looked on Trip Advisor and found it was rated as the best restaurant in Orleans so I booked a table as rest point on a drive from Beziers to Calais.
I found it much better even than my previous visit with an extensive blackboard menu which indicated a daily changing menu. I choose a very tasty wild boar terrine, followed by a sumptuous beef cheek and, finally, poached pears on a biscuit base. Together with a half litre pichet of red wine the total cost was superb value at 30 euros.
In summary, absolutely excellent with the waitress very attentive and the food arriving promptly. It really deserves its top spot.

“Great value and a nice experience...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2011

No pretense, (outside) and indeed no reason to think this would be any more special a place than the sometimes-dingy neighboring establishments. Picked-up the reviews on Trip Advisor for a place to eat in Orleans and I'm glad I did.

Very very good value for the money - I had a 3-course prix fixe menu. Delicious to the end served by an attentive, informed and friendly waitresses.

Not too many places near a train station in any town anywhere get a visit from me - I typically avoid them as a rule... but this place was a lovely surprise.

not too sure about the decor but the food is a must. Had Bulots Mayonaise , RAie au beurre rouge and superb dessert.
not the typical French fare of a bistro.

Good waitress.
