We were just passing through Chartres and decided to stop to sight see and grab some lunch. We hadn't planned on dining somewhere quite so swish but the staff were very accommodating whilst we fed our baby and they stored the pushchair whilst we ate.
The food was excellent, lunch in France is a big deal and we couldn't get over just how busy the restaurant got. The sun was shining in and they retracted the glass roof on the inner restaurant which was nice.
We were offered an English menu even though we understood the French one but still, a nice touch.
The food, oh the food...we could easily have eaten 3 courses and everything on the menu sounded so good. We stuck with 2 courses and soft drinks, the bill was agreeable if a little on the high side - put it this way, you wouldn't want to spend that much on lunch every day!!
