“Beautiful place”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Nice place to visit, and the time spent is much shorter than other huge castles, which can be pretty convenient. The garden is beautiful.
Worth it to spend a couple of hours there!

“One of the most beautiful chateaus”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

The most recommended thing to do - to stroll in beautiful park around the lake. The chateau is situated on the artificial island and is gorgeous from all the sides.

“Another, smaller castle sitting across the water with a large lake.”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

We visited this on the first Sunday of the month and found that there was free entry on that day. How enjoyable to wander through the castle that was bare of all furnishing. A very peaceful area with a lovely village nearby.

“Smallish chateau, pretty nice, not as spectacular as others.”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

The images of this chateau being reflected in the small lake (really a pond) behind are so picturesque I had to go. Unfortunately, the lake was largely drained in order to conduct some repairs, marring the image I was hoping to see. That is often the case that old structures under renovation obscuring our view. The chateau itself is fine, but honestly less interesting than nearby Chenonceau and the gardens of Villandry. I feel a little jaded writing this, as for Americans, who have nothing like this at home, I am ready to say that this is just "average". If you have time, check it out.
