This is in beautiful parkland just off the southern Amboise ring road (D31) and comprises mainly two-story timber built cottages. It is very convenient for visiting the many interesting and historic chateaux of the Loire valley. The rooms are in the best possible taste with beautiful pictures and all amenities. There was a (closed) swimming pool.
The restaurant and bar were a disappointment. The food was acceptable but not particularly special and there was little atmosphere. More style than substance.
The management only became more friendly and outgoing when I paid the bill!

This property is like an oasis! It's beautiful, perfect palce to relax, unwind. We were on a cycling trip hence we were booked here but I will definitely go back here again and stay there for at least a week. High strung nerves will instantly relax. The rooms are very nice and spacious. Please note there are no lifts/ elevators hence just be a bit prepared. The food is good at teh restaurant and the manager is a friendly soul. The staff is friendly too. A must visit !

Room Tip: No lifts so be careful with elderly folks and little infants. Rooms are spacious with a balcony. The...

Stayed here for 2 nights at end of May. Staff at reception very friendly and the overall initial impression was good, especially the grounds and the fact that all rooms have a patio or balcony. However, we expect a really good dinner from a logis and the 2 we had were very disappointing. For example, only 2 choices of main course and tasteless cold soups. The fruit salad was tinned! Breakfast was very limited too compared with other hotels of similar price. Overall, a big disappointment and not good value.

We arrived late ( after 10:00 pm) and arrangements were pre-made at this hotel as part of a cysling pakage. Upon arrival we asked if the restaurant at the hotel was still open. The hotel owner (older man) would not speak in English to us and proceeded to walk us into the dining area - that was obviouls closed.... He turned on the lights and had a server who was behind the bar go into the kitchen.

She came out with 1 tomato sliced on a plate and a piece of cheese, and a small basket of bread.

She then came out with a meat platter, another cheese platter and a desert tray. Thinking that we were taking advantage of their generous hospitality, we refused the other food and ate our tomato and cheese.

We were never told that we were to pay for this food, shown a menu - or were told any prices....and we assumed that they were being generous to 2 tired cyclists. They just kept bringing out food and not answering us in English.

The next morning at check-out, the woman owner presented us with a bill for 34 Euros for 2 tomatos and 2 pieces of cheese! Can you imagine if we sampled all the food on the platters.

I feel as though they took advantage of us and were sneaky in not explaning the pricing. Room was okay - very musty smelling and a lot of mold in the bathroom.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay in this country hotel, a few kilometeres from the town of Amboise. We had a comfortable and spacious room on the ground floor, with French windows leading onto a small private patio and the garden beyond. The gardens are beautifully kept and are a delight to wander around or sit at one of the garden tables before dinner and enjoy a glass of wine.

Some criticisms of the hotel are justified. Our room was not well sound proofed; we could hear activity in neighbouring rooms which was not ideal. The restaurant has a lovely ambience. The food though is slightly pretentious. It scored well on the wine list however with a very good Sancerre at 18 Euros. We mainly ate in Amboise itself where there are many restaurants to choose from.

The staff are charming and they all extended a warm welcome to us. I would happily return.

Room Tip: Choose a ground floor room

Very good location just out of Amboise Def need a car but I think most people would be touring so would have one. The rooms are a little dated and the tilled floors mean that our ground floor room suffered the clonk clonk clonk of the people above I think we had someone in cloggs above us!
Breakfast ok didn't eat in restuarant thought it was a little expensive and stopped at 9pm.

The pool is quite small and really needs the wood edge tidying also the book says no children under 16 which is rubbish children of 5 and 6 were using it (I suspect it mean unsupervised)

All in all a pleasant stay in a quiet location, but would recommend you book a room on the top floor and practice your tap dancingso as to entertain the people below.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room only two floors also no aircon

stayed with my family for a night after a long road trip. This domain is absolutely great in terms of tranquillity. Absolutely huge gardens, not a car noise. Perfect.
On the - side, Rooms are a bit small.
On the + side, I found the owners to be extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average but not bad. We did not manage to have a meal in the restaurant as our child started a riot, so we decided to avoid. Customers looked mainly a bit older couple wishing for a bit of tranquillity, but domain is more than adequate for children.
a very good stay.
