“Very well decorated and clean room”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

My sister, my partner and I all loved our room in this B&B. It was very well decorated, and thought was put into every detail. We loved the wooden floors! It was completely clean and the staff was very helpful and positive (even the dog Elliot!). I would warmly recommend this place for a quiet and peaceful sleep. We almost felt we should have stayed longer as we were road tripping in the Loire valley.

Room Tip: I don't know which room it was, but it was a family room facing the river.

We were part of a group of 4 couples that stayed with Annick October 16 - 19. The property is close enough to walk into town (25 minutes - downhill on the way, uphill on the way home). The accommodations were clean and rooms large. The common room (table, fridge, etc) is a nice touch. The grounds (with horses running beside the property) were spectacular.

Annick has just a wonderful personality which shows through all the time. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to offer a helping had organizing a day trip any time.

I would not hesitate to stay here again, thanks Annick.

We stayed for 2 nights at Maison Blanche and wished we had stayed longer! Annick was an excellent host and just a super nice person overall! The breakfast was wonderful each morning (the homemade jams were delicious). The property is amazing. Loved all the animals and their unique characters. Everything was impeccably clean. Definitely exceeded all our expectations! Also, Amboise is a great town - highly recommended over Tours.

If you are picky with the kind of bread you eat, you should try out those made by Annick. I like the apricot and pistachio the best! We stayed at a room on the first floor for 2 nights. The room was clean and tidy. As it rained, and the room could only be accessed from the outside with a small spiral staircase, and we have two big luggages, it was indeed a bit troublesome. Annick does have rooms on the ground floor, but usually they are booked well beforehand. We tried to cook simple meal in the kitchen with microwave. However, the plates were not quite clean and the light kept turning off automatically by itself. In the end, we finished the cooking quickly and transported all the food back to our room to eat. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience.

Our three evening stay with Annick at her charming B&B was wonderful ... from her welcoming smile and bubbly nature, to the spacious well appointed rooms with modern baths. The breakfasts served were delicious ... cereals, fruit, jams, croissants, breads, yogurt and cheese ... with hot coffee, tea and the warm milk that we've become accustomed to in the European style. Ideal location near Amboise and perfect for visiting the beautiful chateaus in the valley. A true gem.

Room Tip: Two large rooms with en suite baths above garage and small guest kitchen area have a separate privat...

We only stayed for 1 night at the Manoir but really enjoyed our experience. The vast property is so picturesque & full of character... complete with a winding gated driveway, tall lush trees with views of foilage & greenery...and 2 adorable doggies & horses too! it just captured the essence of what you'd imagine french living to be like in the Loire Valley. We found Annick to be such an interesting woman, full of spirit, kindness and charm. The b&b is in a fabulous location in vibrant Amboise which allowed us to leave our rental car and walk to everything & explore the town. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with yogurt & granola, fresh bread with delicious homemade jams & butter, cheese, etc. We had the third level suite in the main house and loved the space along with the wooden beam ceilings. It's also 30 min away from the train station which makes it a perfect base for exploring the castles in the Loire valley. Definitely worth a revisit and we'd come back here again.

We stayed with another couple in this wonderful B & B hosted by the absolutely charming and lovely Annick Delecheneau. Her sparkling personality made our visit so much more interesting with stories of how she remodeled her B & B, attractions in nearby Amboise (only 5 minutes away), especially the nighttime Pageant at Amboise Castle. Our rooms were up a steep staircase but the rooms were very nice. The bathroom had a stand-alone shower which we prefer and not part of a tub. Breakfasts are served in her home across the driveway where out the windows we could see her horses in their pasture; just lovely.
