“Unfair management”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2013

by mistake we mad double reservations for the same night. The front office adviced to use one reservation and to contact the manager next morning..next morning the manager obliged us to pay for 2 reservation. .it would be more fair if they informed us that we will pay for the 2 reservations so we could use the 2nd reservation

This is not your typical hotel. I think that the development initially started life as a time share complex but the developer went bust, and so it was decided to turn the place into a hotel, except the layout doesn't lend itself to a typical hotel layout. We booked here because all the other hotels in the area were full. So, upon arrival you are presented with a large building which is the reception and restaurant. Check in was swift and there was wifi which worked, I think, only in the reception area. We did not try the restaurant. The complex of houses are located behind the reception and you are permitted to drive your car to offload your bags etc but parking is not permitted outside, you have to move the car back to reception. The individual houses are split into two bedroom houses, apartments etc. We had booked a two bedroom house for one night and indeed it was a full size two bedroom house that was presented to us - two toilets, full size kitchen, dining room, lounge, etc.so there was plenty of space The area around the house is not finished so the pavements and the roads consist of gravel. During the summer it was very dusty. Towels were provided. The kitchen was equipped with basic utensils so if you were staying a long time you would need to buy additional equipment. The walk to reception was about 3-4 mins, and took you past the only swimming pool, which was far too small to accommodate all the guests that were staying at the time. There is no room service. If you are looking for space then this is the place to come but if you are looking for a full service hotel then I would look for somewhere else.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near reception if you don't want to end up walking along dusty paths.

Highly recommended for families with littele children. The apartments are spacious and vast, kitchen is well equipped.
Location is very good, only 5 minutes drive from Amboise center.
The only problem with this place is the approach way to the apartments, which becomes muddy after the rain.

Room Tip: For families the duplex apartments are great.

For the price of a hotel room we were very happy to have a large apartment for our one night stay, which was clean and comfortable. The surrounding complex is quite odd, with unpaved roads and rough paths around the site. Although it has been there for a few years it looks like they never completed it.
The town of Amboise is a short drive away, and is very scenic, but to visit from here you really need a car.

Nice aprtments with new furniture and good comfort
Fast and efficient team managing the place
Wifi in the apartment, good quality beds even though we had 2 twins instead of a queen size
The main issue there is that front access and terraces have not been pathed with concrete yet thus entrance is very dirty and a lot of ants keep coming in the kitchen
Location is very good to visit castles near the area as well as very good restaurants

Room Tip: make sure you ask for fully furnished otherwise you may not have custerly

We spent a few nights here with some friends. We wanted to visit some of the Chateaux around Amboise but did not want a hotel. The rooms included a bedroom with a comfy double bed, lounge area, kitchen with everything you need to self cater and bathroom. The rooms were clean, reception very helpful and the location quite good. The complex is around 5 minutes drive to the centre of Amboise where there are plenty of shops and restaurants.
We will return.

Big and cheap apartment.
The Internet in the room didn't work. They explained later that the room is too far from the router. The reception was closed at 20:00 and no one to talk to.
The location is far away from the city (5 km) and hard to be found.
