Good budget hotel, but make sure you have a room at the back, the trams run from 5am to 00:15 and ring their bells as they move off, (stop is right outside hotel). Rooms are very clean, modern decoration, facilities, but no air con, which is ok if you can have the windows open, which with the trams and street noise you can't. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and keen that you enjoy your stay in Dijon. Great to have off road parking, even if quite tight and dark, but still good

Based on previous reviews, I informed myself of the parking access prior to my arrival, as the hotel is located on a pedestrian only street. It was simple to find and only a short distance from the car park to the lobby. Parking was secure and at 10 euros/day with in/out privileges...a good deal.

Reception spoke excellent English and were very helpful and friendly during check-in.

Our triple room was located on the first floor facing the courtyard; although it was an older hotel, it was bright and clean (even if it was carpeted) and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We rarely heard any noise from our neighbours and slept very well.

The electrical plugs were thoughtfully located on either side of the double bed - a must for travellers with multiple devices. The only complaint would be that the Wi-Fi signal wasn't very strong and that you needed to login each time you accessed the internet.

We never took breakfast at the hotel as we like to explore the local bars and restaurants, which there are plenty of within walking distance of the hotel - as well as all the tourist attractions.

Overall our two-night stay at the Hotel de Paris was most comfortable and enjoyable and we would recommend this to anyone looking for good budget accommodations in Dijon.

Very good and reasonable budget accommodations especially if arriving by train. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, the rooms spacoius with decent bathrooms and roomy shower
The added cost breakfast was reasonable and adequate to get you going every morning. Really nothing negative to say other than its easy to miss hiding behind the first tram stop after the Gare. It was a very handy location for seeing all of Dijon and easy to take the tram back if you had a long dau. Would definitely stay here again

Receptionist was helpful - he upgraded our room when he saw all the luggage we had - location is very close to the train station on a busy road. We had the tram mechanism right outside out window as a view. The hotel is older and a little unkempt. If you're looking for a cheap stop over - this is the place.

Room Tip: One without a view of the tram (not the third floor)

We found this hotel good value for money. Our room was large, quiet, had an excellent bathroom and was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts had a large selection to choose from. The location was a short walk from the railway station, good restaurantes and the town centre. The staff were helpful and extreemly friendly.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, myself, my husband and our 10 year old. I write this review from here. The hotel is about 150 m from the Dijon rail station, which was what we were looking for as we have large bags and didn,t want to walk to far. From the outside I was a little scared at what we had booked, Once inside and in our room its quiet adequate for one stay. We booked for three people but the room we were given will sleep 5, There are two double beds in one large room and a single plus a small bathroom in the other. The beds are really comfy and we all sleep well. We were on the second floor with the mall out the front, but didn't hear anything enough to wake us. The man at the front desk was really really lovely and helpful, he suggested three or four great restaurant, and gave us booklets on things to do. Told us about the free wifi and suggested we do the Owl Trail. There is a small flat screen tv, and desk in the main bedroom and a hair dryer in the bathroom. The one real problem we encountered was a fairly bad smell in the bathroom, I think from the drains???
Look this hotel is nothing fancy but its adequate and is cheap. Its close to everything. I will admit the photos dont seem to be a true reflection of the reception area but the rooms are ok -basic and very clean.

Room Tip: Close to rail station

This hotel - sandwiched between late night kebab takeaways in the seedy part of town - was thankfully just a one night stop over, never to be experienced again.

With a dark and dingy reception and some unknown sticky liquid splashed across the dirty stairwell the whole place was in need of some attention.

Reminiscent of a Travelodge but 2-3 times more expensive, the rooms were basic but clean. Unfortunately my room was roadside (tramside) so I had to contend with noisy revellers screaming and shouting until the small hours of the morning, and as no one mans the front desk between 11-7 I could not request to change rooms.

The manager was abrupt, rude and dismissive the following day when I complained.

Overall a terrible experience which I would not wish to go through again.
