“Great little cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2014

Lovely small cafe for lunch. Most of the menu consists of different kinds of galette (buckwheat pancakes) - we had ham, egg and cheese, and bacon, mushroom, egg and mustard (although there are some other options too). All were delicious. Delicious glass of cider included if you have the set menu. Children's menu consists of a smaller ham, egg and cheese galette, a glass of squash and a sweet crepe, which went down very well with my children. Service was very friendly and quick and the waitress spoke English (even in the face of our adequate French!). She was also welcoming to our young children. Very central location. The bill came to a reasonable 40 euros for two adult pancakes, two sweet pancakes and two children's set menus, a glass of cidre, an orangina and two children's drinks.

The only drawback is that it's really quite small, so if you get there at peak lunchtime you may not get a table.

“Perfect little cafe for lunch or light dinner.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

Wanted to try this place given the combo of high rating and reasonable price. Not disappointed. Virginie is a star, most welcoming, engaging and quite entertaining. No pressure to rush or upsell. Made great recommendations and flexible with the menu - one of the kids wanted a different cheese and gave a choice. It's small but that adds to the charm. Highly recommended!

“My Escargot Award Winner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

We went here because of the ratings on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. I mentioned to my wife before we were served that although we have had very good food since arriving in France, I was looking for something that would make me want to lick the plate.
I had a galette (buckwheat crepe) with escargot. Wow. I did want to lick the plate! The sauce, the galette, and the escargot were absolutely the best. If you are not into escargot you have two choices: 1. think outside the box and try it. 2. try one of the other delicious galettes.
Virginia was a delight and very friendly while providing wonderful service.
She even commented about how clean I left my plate.
No secret formula, just great food, good service and reasonable prices.
We ate outside as it was a beautiful night. It is small inside however.

“rude!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

We came for a coffee and small snack on the recommendations of other reviews and was told 'no coffee at lunch', and that was that! Bearing in mind it advertises itself outside as a coffeeshop, it was pretty rubbish that you can't get one at 12.00, didnt realise coffee had a time slot.... found a much more hospitable one round the corner.
