We stayed here with my parents for two nights and were given one of the suites on the top floor (for the price of a regular room). The suite was huge with massive bedroom/living room, kitchen, and bathroom with spa bath and shower. Each room had a balcony door meaning we had a really long balcony at the front of the hotel. Our room was clean and we had no complaints with it at all.

The young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful but the older lady was not as friendly to us.

I would recommend this place for the location and would suggest if you are going to be there for a while to consider one of the suites.

We only stayed here for one night in late August. The hotel is in an excellent location in the town centre and actually located on a street included in the walking tour of the town.

We had an air conditioned room for four which consisted of two double beds pushed together in what should have been a normal double room! The hotel is rated at three star - not sure why apart from the addition of a mini bar in the room. It definitely was no different to any two star hotel we've stayed in in France. The ensuite bathroom was reasonably fitted but they only supplied two bath towels and two hand towels - in a room for four!!

The hotel provided a garage parking space for €6 for the night but be aware that you'll have to leave them your key so they can juggle in other cars in the night. Our car had been moved. In the morning all the gagage doors were open to the street so although off the road it's not secure.

The receptionist when we checked in mid afternoon of 29th August was awful. She was talking on her phone obviously to her friend and made us stand and wait for a couple of minutes before dealing with us! Later in the afternoon when we returned she was still on the phone - I indicated I wanted my key - she ignored me until I headed around to the key rack myself! Unbelievable!! She also pretended she didn't speak any English (she was actually quite fluent it turned out) and let me struggle away in French for a while - I don't mind but politeness dictates you should help out the guest! We really asked too much apparently when we asked if she had a town map. She said no, you can get one from the toursit office! They did have other tourists books available though.

The hotel has a bar in the foyer but it looked a bit miserable compared to the many decent street cafes in the immediate area. We didn't have breakfast as it wasn;t worth €9 each!

All in all a hotel in a great location let down by stupid things and rude staff. We won't be staying again.

We arrived in Dijon on a Sunday - so it was very quiet with all the shops closed. The hotel staff were very friendly, spoke OK English, and helped us find a small store to buy food and drinks from.

The room was a good size and had a nice view out over the street. Definitely no complaints.

Best of all, the hotel is in an excellent central location - 10 mins walk from the train station (very easy walk), and just around the corner from the Palace and all the shops.

Would definitely visit again...

No longer called "Minotel", just Hotel Des Ducs - very well situated just off the Palais Des Ducs. Good sized rooms for European hotels, spotlessly clean, and a great lobby area with free WiFi.

All at a price less than others that aren't as good. Very busy, their own parking garage if you need it. Well recommended.

The beds had insects. We complained and were rudely told it was our fault because we had opened the window - the insects were not on top of the bed but under the covers. There was no apology, not even friendliness, and certainly no compensation, and on top of that they were trying to blame us.
There are other hotels in central Dijon. This hotel does not have character, it's just old, unclean, and with mostly rude staff. I would Not recommend it.

Dijon is very beautiful. This hotel is located right in the centre, close to all the places of interest. The hotel was very clean, the staff members very helpful and the price very reasonable. The Staff members are really friendly, I was even given free breakfast. The hotel is great and I will for sure stay there again. I had a really good room, overlooking the city.

We arrived around 8pm in the hotel and chose a room of 79 euro (ex bf). The room was normal in size and it had a normal bathroom. Staff is friendly, the room was clean and well-maintained. The location is just great, right in the center, close to all the main attractions of this lovely place! It's certainly a good option for a good 3 star hotel in teh middle of the town, certainly in comparison with other 4stars and 2stars.
