“Ok for a mid-trip break”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012

We took the TGV from Switzerland to Paris and decided to stop over in Dijon to break the trip. The hotel is located in the central area but about 1.5 kms from the train so a bit of a hike if you dont have back packs or good rolling bags.
The hotel is very strict on its 3pm chec-in time so we found we were homeless for a few hours. They willingly took out bags to store.
The room is ok, fairly basic but modern. The shower was fantastic! There is a city carrefour (supermarket) fairly close by but the only coin laundry we could find was on the other side of town near the train station. All in all and ok stop over place.

Dijon is definitely worth a visit. This lovely little French city has a great city centre, and the Hotel Des Ducs is very central. Helpful staff, lovely rooms and a good breakfast made this a great place to stay.

This is a fairly basic hotel but OK for the rate. Rooms clean, but our bed was a bit saggy. the hotel is well located in the town, but if you have heavy bags you will need to catch a cab from the gare.

We stopped in at this hotel on our way to the French Alps. As a family of 4 we were given a large room with two double beds. The room was large and we certainly did not need additional space. After staying in a smaller hotel space wise in Paris we were pleased to be able to spread out. We had a balcony which gave us a great view of the street below. We also had breakfast, which is the typical continental breakfast fair.

The hotel is well located in the old city, close to the market and many places to eat. The staff recomended a resturant to eat in and we had superb meal within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were friendly and accomodating. As a short stop over we could not have asked for more. This is a very basic hotel, no frills but clean, neat and comfortable, with a great location.

We were happy to find this hotel. The location couldn't be better, it was near enough to all the main sights to be able to back to the hotel if we needed to rest for a little while. The reception staff, Alexandra and Emanuel, were very friendly and helpful. We were able to park in the garage which was convenient. The "decor" is very minimal, which may not suit everyone, but it was clean and our room was large and comfortable.

The room wasn't overly clean, the bathroom was tired and old... Shampoo etc. were perched on the edge of the bath along with a number of long black hairs. The room was quite warm, so we opened the window for some air.... bad idea, the street cleaners came through at about 3 and 4am.... and just when you thought you could go back to sleep, they came past again. The hallway was dark and lights were on a timer. The only thing really going for this place, is the location.

I am surprised that this message corresponds to a passage of more than seven months.
In fact our hotel was renovated in 100% since the date of your visit.
In response to these remarks our rooms are clean and checked daily by our housekeeper.
The bins in the city center of Dijon is not collected in the morning to 3 or 4 hours but the evening at 19:00.
Our rooms are all double glazed.
The decor is quite pleasant if we refer to reviews that have frequented our establishment since your visit in July 2011.

Last weekend we went to Dijon on the way to Serre chevalier and we stayed one night here.
When we entered the room, it wasn't the same room as the website showes.
The kind receptionist offered the new room, but it has just been painted ,so the smell of the room was still very strong from the painting.
so we just stayed the first room. the hotel is renovating little by little and the receptionist said from March on, everything will be better.
The hotel is very closed to the center, so you can just walked around the hotel to find cafes, shops and restaurants
but the other hand, bit noisy from cars passing by the hotel all night.
