“Great bistro in historic district”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

My wife and I had rented an apartment right near this restaurant and decided to try it. First night, we were not able to secure a seat so we made reservations the following day for dinner. We were seated outside and enjoyed one of their very reasonable menus. The Beef Burgundy was nicely prepared and service was good. The wine was tasty and also quite reasonable. We felt this was a good value and enjoyed our evening.

“Delicious local cuisine and amazingly good value”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

I have spent three months getting to know all the restaurants in Dijon! Good value lunch menus of three courses are easy to find, however in the evening you can end up spending a lot of money if you don't know where to go. At La Petite Flamande, they have an evening three course menu for only 13 euros. What's more the food is excellent, local and tasty, the staff are friendly (not always the case in Dijon) and the inside is homely and cosy or you can sit on the pavement terrace. This is the best value, best quality evening meal I found for the price. Don't get tempted by the tourist places, this place is just off the Place de Liberation, right in the centre of town on the Rue des Petits Enfants but easily missed. Be sure to go there for lunch or dinner, or both!

“Not what we expected”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We arrived quite late a Monday evening, only one couple sitting on the "terrace". The waiter was very friendly, and made a good impression. L'escargot, coq-au-vin, and a sorbet, plus another starter and lamb was ordered, accompanied by wine and beer.
The starters were tasty, just average. Unfortunately, the main courses weren't what we expected from the French cousine. The cock was very plain, not much taste, I think it should reflect that it's a Bourgogne specialty, and the lamb didn't taste like or have the texture of lamb at all. Having had much better food in France, this will get a lower comparative rating.

“C'est Magnifique!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We found this delightful restaurant near the Place de Liberte and were absolutely wowed by the atmosphere, the service, and the unbelievable meals. We were a party of 5 and it was our last night in Dijon. So thrilled that we happened upon this amazing restaurant!

“French bistro at its best”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

We had the three course wet menu and it was very nice. The restaurant was very busy but the service was great and friendly. I had poulet with mustard and it was very 'mustard' but very tasty - thoroughly enjoyable menu, service and ambience.
