Beautiful lobby and guest areas, economic rooms are very economic and you get what you pay for. Communal toilet but private end suite, get what you pay for and I expect the expensive rooms to be very nice. Beautiful area, nice creperie opposite and infuz coffee shop is a must. Free wifi, weak signal in room but fast in lobby. 8/10 for the price, outstanding service friendly staff and a cheap sleep.

This hotel is right in the old city within walking distance of everything. It's cute, quaint and the economy room was perfect for me. It does require a trek up four flights of pretty steep, narrow spiral stairs but it was great for a single, low-budget traveler. There is a sink in the room and a great view. Shower/bathroom is just outside the room in the hall and there were no problems with availability. I am a single female traveling and felt perfectly safe walking there day or night. Reception desk does not always speak English. Internet is fine but you have to put in a new code every day (they provide you a little ticket with the code). Breakfast was fine but not free -- they add it to your room and you need to let them know the night before that you will have breakfast.

The location of the hotel is fantastic for tourists: in the historic downtown of Dijon, a few minutes walk from the main attractions. The hotel itself is comfortable but a bit old (I had an economic room so more expensive rooms may be better). The building is old so it is a bit noisy (wooden structure). I had a shared bathroom and it was clean. Breakfast was standard and affordable.

Considering that this is a 2 star hotel the value you get for your money is great. Rooms are ok in size and equipment, not super clean. Staff speaks english well, wifi is included, location is great, parking in front of the house possible.

My partner and I made a last minute decision to stay in Dijon which was slightly stressful having not booked a hotel. After what seemed like a mary and joseph situation we stumbled upon le Jacquemart. Staff spoke good English and set us up in a spacious double room for only 33 euros, bargain!! The bathroom was in the corridor which i was apprehensive about as i have stayed in many a hostel sharing but this was pleasantly clean.
Location was great too and road parking cheap as chips (we didnt pay saturday to sunday)
Also, I had the best nights sleep there ever... so comfy!!
There is an excellent family run mussel restaurant a few doors down- definately go!!

We stayed in Dijon for 2 days at this hotel.

The room was quite small, although very very comfortable. The bathroom was split between shower/basin and a toilet. A bit weird that there was not basin in the toilet-area...so when you're done you had to walk all the way around the room to the other end to wash your hands (if you're the kind of person who washes your hands of course :)

The one wall was a bit thin and we could hear conversations (and later on, "ooh la la"), but it was really not that bad - I've seen (or rather, heard) a lot worse and this was completely in tune with a lot of old hotels - you cannot exactly expect solid brick walls :)

There were no elevators to the top floors. It's an old hotel, so that didn't put me off, but just be aware.

Overall service though, including breakfast and advice was superb - cannot be faulted! The hotel location is also great if you want to walk around the old part of Dijon. It's about 10-15 mins walk from the train station.

Overall, this was a good hotel. Well located, fantastic service and a descent breakfast. The toilet-without a basin was a bit weird and one of the walls was a bit thin, but then that's probably just nit-picking :)

stayed with a group of friends. the rooms were spacious, the location was excellent! you have to pay for wifi (which im totally against) we had to park in a parking deck about a quarter of a mile away. but yea, the location was excellent, and i would recommend it. the staff didnt speak english, but that doesnt matter, checking in and out is universal langauge. go for it
