“Great food Great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2012

Arrived on a Thursday night without a reservation and were seated. An hour later the place was packed. We opted for the 4 course prix fix menu (entree, plat, fromage, dessert). The escargots burgundy were tender and tasty. The beef burgundy was outstanding and served over noodles that tasted like fresh made. My wife had filet of pike roasted in aligote wine that was excellent. After a very good cheese course of three selections from about 30 offerings, we finished with a regional favorite of crepes a la cream de cassis. My only quibble with the meal was the crepe which I expected to be served warm but was more like room temperature. Otherwise an en excellent meal at a reasonable price.

“True regional dishes - a delight!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2012

We ate here two nights in row because it was close to our hotel and it had traditional dishes from the Burgundy region. We had escargot, which was fabulous. Our daughters had the rabbit with Granny Smith apples and a crepe filled with mushrooms. My husband and I had beef bourguignon, which was so good. The next night we had the oeufs en meurette (poached eggs in red wine sauce) and the Coq a Vin. The restaurant looks out onto a main street and the Porte Guillaume. If you want traditional food from the region, this is the place to go.

“Great Regional Cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2012

We walked all over town looking at menus and this place had the best for regional cuisine. We loved the food and the service was nice and very formal. The oeuf meurette and escargots were fabulous and large portions. Coq au vin and Boeuf Bourguignon were excellent! Exactly what were looking for in a town that has quite a few pizzerias.

“ticks tous les boites”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2011

Normally I'm wary of restaurants in hotels, but this one disproved that theory. A charming and atmospheric room, good service and excellent regional food and, of course, wine. A most enjoyable introduction to Burgundy.

“Only if you're desperate”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2011

This restaurant gets the respected and often reliable Michelin Bib Gourmand designation for great value. Don't believe it here. Mediocre food, indifferent service. The Burgundy classics of coq au vin and beef bourguignon were treated with indifference. Lackluster wine list considering the great regional options available.
