“Overpriced, bland, disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012

We aimed to Stephane Derbord without a reservation but we were turned down as it was booked out. La Dame d'Aquitaine was second on our list. We hesitated going in as the day was sunny and warm and this place is in a cellar without much natural light. The place looked chic but slighly cold in terms of atmosphere. Service was good and friendly but that's probably the highest point in this experience.
The plates defiled one after the other bland, without much taste. An effort was done on the plate decoration but that's it. We asked that the dessert would be replaced by the cheese trolley that we would expect such a place to offer, as we're not such a sweet tooth. But our wish was put down and we were told that cheese was part of the menu. What the waiter meant was 2 warm balls of liquid cheese inside and a crust outside, served with salad (after the main!!!).
We paid 120 EUR for two people, which we found overpriced for what we actually got.
Avoid!

“Unforgettable meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

Not only was the food divine, but the service was great and the restaurant itself is breathtaking. It's underground in this medieval vault, and makes a really nice atmosphere for the food. A bit of a splurge but well worth it. I second Troy's recommendation on the cheese plate; only 13 euros, but includes 6+ wonderful cheeses and a small salad.

“Excellent Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

A great place, excellent food, friendly staff. Highly recommend this as an intimate dinner. This is finer dining and you will pay a bit more, but it is definitely worth it. Get the cheese course for dessert (the chocolate is good too)!

“Great interior”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2012

Had dinner alone in the week following Easter. The room was wonderful, great atmosphere. Unlike many restaurants I dined in, the staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was very well prepared-I had the 1st menu at 46 euro. Not overly priced by my estimation. helpful with wine selections.

“We love it. Was good ambience/presentation/staff& price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2012 via mobile

Visited 6th april 2012 DINNER

FOOD
Food was not dissappointing. Not excellent but good enough to recommend to others.
We selected the 2nd Menu selection €39. The 1st selection seems too much to eat €41, and the 3rd is too little. it was not amuing to my taste but due to the presentation of the food i will say good.

AMBIENCE
Eventhough its located in the cellar, its nicely decorated and the tables are spaced comfortably. No table is too close to one another. The setting is romantic and cozy.

STAFF
Look bored but friendly

PRICE
4 course meal, with coffee and a bottle of wine €136.20
