Stopping in Bourg en Bresse on the way back from Provence, we took the advice of past reviews and chose to eat at this small restaurant in a street with many other choices. The room is deceptively large but the owners have spaced out the tables which gives an open feel to the place - they could quite easily pack in more covers, but this probably suits a small cooking and serving staff.
The food is of high quality and whether you choose one of the set menus (the 4 course € 26 one is excellent value) or eat from the carte, the local ingredients are handled with care and attention and the quantities quite large.
Good selection of wines (some by the glass) compliment the food perfectly. Service is attentive and the patrons wife is courteous if a bit cool - maybe she is shy.
Would happily recommend eating here.
