“Nothing to remember, except for the final bill!”
Reviewed July 1, 2010

Unexpectedly, we were seated at a table whose chairs were placed looking just the opposite side of the marvelous Royal Monastery of Brou.
The quality of the consumed meals, not being bad, does not justify the final bill. For instance, the “poularde de Bresse” was just a little above average.
The service was mostly unprofessional. Prior to the arrival of most of the clients, the staff were talking to each other all the time. That doesn’t help early diners like me and my wife to get a good impression.

“New Year's Day 2010”
Reviewed January 1, 2010

We managed to get a table for two today at L'Auberge Bressane. The restaurant has a spectacular location overlooking the church and monastery at Brou. Because it was a holiday there was a special menu - two choices - four courses fot Euro 54 and five courses for Euro 86. We went for the 54 Euro option. The first course was a gratin of freshwater crayfish tails from a local lake. The main was the local chicken with chinese artichokes and chesnuts served with a gratin of spannish thistle (cardon). this was followed by a slection of cheeses and the n a selection of deserts. Service and food were excellent.
