We stayed here on the recommendation of a local wine producer and loved everything about the hotel. Our room was spacious, the bed and sheets were comfortable, and our breakfast was a delicious continental breakfast. The best was the hospitality and helpfulness of Madam Chartier.

Villa Fleurie is located about 10 min from the center of the Beaune old town. An easy walk, with lots to see along the way. Rooms are large, more U.S. standards than European. Bathroom is also large and everything is very well decorated and very clean. Parking is on site and easy to use. The staff is very friendly and the resturant they recommended was better than the ones in Rick Steves. A comfortable place to stay.

When you see the beautiful flowers on all sides of this B & B, you'll naturally assume good things to come on the inside -- and you'll be right. The rooms are spotless, roomy (we had a "comfort" room) and nicely decorated. The breakfast is excellent. Mme. Chartier, who speaks fluent English, is hard-working, proud, helpful, rather formal, and very, very French. While cordial with us, we also noticed her gently scolding a group of Americans whose noise level, in her opinion, disturbed the tranquility of her breakfast room. That was fine with us; we thought they were pretty loud, too. The neighborhood is residential; the only non-residence we saw in the immediate vicinity was a police station. One thing this means is that if you believe you'd like a snack or glass of wine in the garden, be sure to make your purchase inside the ring road, because you won't find a boulangerie or corner market close to the B & B. It also means that this is a peaceful, highly recommended place to stay.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Villa Fleurie in October. La Villa Fleurie is perfect. I made the reservation via email. Mme Chartier got back to me quickly to confirm the reservation.
It is just a couple of blocks from both the city and the train station. We arrived on the train after dark and it was a really easy short walk from the station to La Villa Fleurie. We reserved the comfort room. The room was perfect. It was beautiful, just like the rest of La Villa Fleurie, and clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was so nice, I suggest you definately get the breakfast. All in all, I couldn't recomment La Villa Fleurie enough.

We spent 3 nights at La Villa Fleurie and could not have been more pleased with our choice of accommodations. The B&B is located on a quiet street about two blocks from the ring road and a few more blocks from the historic town centre. We had a "comfort" room at 82 Euros/night with a king-size bed and a clean, spotless, updated bathroom. Breakfast was available each morning (for an extra 8.5 Euros) in a bright, sunny room. It consisted of granola, dried fruits, croissants, quick bread, cheese, juice, and coffee. We found this so much more convenient that walking several blocks to find a patisserie. The free Wi-Fi worked fine in our room. There are many vineyards in the area where you can purchase wine and enjoy it either in a cozy sitting room on the main floor or outside in the courtyard surrounded by beautiful flowers. Easy parking if you have a car. Madame Chartier speaks English very well and is very helpful. On our last night, she recommended a wonderful restaurant to us about two blocks away from the B&B and within the old city walls called La Table De Guigone. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal away from the central touristy part of town.

Room Tip: If you're a couple, the "Comfort" rooms are definitely worth the extra 10 Euros more t...

Although close to the train station, Villa Fleurie is a stretch if lugging baggage. There is a convenient taxi stand at the front. I stopped to talk to the owner of a station wagon that I thought was a taxi. As it turned out, he was in the taxi stand area to pick up his wife. When I told him I wanted to go to Villa Fleurie, he kindly drove us there. He and his wife were one of many examples of French friendliness.
This B&B offers cheerful, well-decorated rooms with ensuite bathrooms. MME Chartier, the owner, is a hands-on innkeeper, who runs her hotel efficiently and sparingly. She has only a helper at breakfast and morning. She makes many of the decorations in her sewing room.
Our room at 82€ was unusually large with much natural light. Persian rugs covered areas of the wood floor. An armoire sufficed for a closet. A comfortable bed, a flat-screen television with English-language channels, better-than-average continental breakfast at 8.5€, and high water pressure ensured a comfortable stay.
Villa Fleurie is located in a residential area about two blocks from the old town walls. A walk of 10 minutes will bring you there. The area is safe at night.
MME Fleurie seems omni-present since she lives on the premises. She says her hotel is "old-fashioned" with plasterwork, blue and white decor and antique furnishings, but I appreciate her attempt to make the hotel a place that she feels represents her individual style. It probably would not endear many of the younger clientele.
I would choose this hotel again.
