“Pricey but good”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The hotel recommended this place for dinner after we arrived in Beaune. We had an apero and then ordered the Ham and monzerella appetizer to share. It was a huge and definitely fine to share. We both had the tuna main course wish we enjoyed everybit off. The food was presented in a different style than your typical french presentations from this region which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a good Reuily bottle of white wine, along with two glasses of exceptional local Bourgogne wine that the host picked out for us. The service was a little shaky as they had a new server for the day. The place was busy, and the atmosphere very comfy for a vacation mood. I wish the price was a little less, but then again the location is right in the middle of Beaune, so for a tourist place it can be justified. Will return again.

“Bistro”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

This is not the traditional French restaurant, where you are expected to take a full 3 course menu. The menu is modern, whit some a-typical French dishes (fish and chips). Prices are not low, but quality is good and service attentive. The owner tries to be funny, and sometimes he is. They have an extended wine list with some excellent local wines. But, we are in Burgundy, the price of these wines can be as heavy as the wine itself.

“Terrible Service, Pricey Food, Wrong Wine”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Maybe we just hit this restaurant on a bad day but we had a terrible experience. The concierge from a neighboring hotel called to make us a reservation for a light dinner of cheese and charcuterie and were told we could be accommodated at 7pm. We were taken upstairs to their loft area, where we were the only patrons. We ordered a bottle of Premier Cru Pommard and were brought a regular vintage instead (which we did not realize til later. Our charcuterie plate included slices of sausage that had furry/ropey stuff around the edges. The cheese plate was fine but both the charcuterie and cheese were very pricey. Service was non-existent. So, I see lots of good reviews regarding this restaurant but our review is TRY ANOTHER RESTAURANT.

“Perfect”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

After a busy day of travel and wine-tasting we were welcomed into F&B for a relaxed and truly excellent dinner. Although no tables were available when we arrived, the owner pointed us to a nearby bar and invited us back in 20 minutes. Sure enough our table was ready and the service was spot on.

We enjoyed the best Gazpacho ever from Gazpacho lovers who've tried it hundred of times in Mexico, all over Spain and the Southwestern USA. Our Veal and Pork main courses were outstanding complemented by a fantastic wine list and terrific desserts.

Great way to start a trip to Burgundy!

“Great food in modern setting in Beaune”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

This was my first night in Beaune and I was traveling solo. I happened upon F&B while looking for a place to eat. Its modern and clean design caught my attention and the outdoor patio was welcoming. I was very happy I stumbled on this restaurant. The food was imaginative, well prepared, presented, and tasted delicious. I had a Cremant as an aperitif and a very interesting interpretation of a gazpacho as a starter and tuna as the main course. I paired this with a local Meursault white wine. The bill was about 65 euros. A great way to start a week of touring of Burgundy. I would recommend it.
