Le Home is a lovely property which a garden area where you can sit and eat breakfast. I had Room 16 which was lovely, very French. French doors, shutters and also a curtain for privacy. A ver comfortable bed and an en suite almost as large as the bedroom. It had a shower but no bath. All very clean and comfortable. There was also a table and chairs in my room. Breakfast was extra and fairly basic though enjoyable in the garden. There did seem to be a bit of slow service for a couple of guests and there appeared no apparent reason for this, it was not busy. Car parking off the street was good. It is about a 15 min walk to the centre of Beaune along an unprepossessing stretch of road. This did prove handy for getting exercise after eating lots of lovely food. The owners were helpful with questions regarding wineries in the area. I would go back.

Very friendly welcome. nice location in a big garden at one of the main roads to the city centre.
Our room really needed some redecoration. Old bathroom. Soft beds. Typical french breakfest; coffee, croissants and yoghurt. 15 minute walk to the city.

The location of the property was easy to find, but I would imagine a car is needed to get in and out of Beaune which I imagine you probably have, in order to to do a tour of the region, , since the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk away from the center of Beaune situated on a main road.

The entrance to Hotel is lovely and quaint and nicely decorated. We stayed in Room 7 which I would not stay in again, i am not sure about the other rooms but this room was dark since it was covered wall and ceiling in olive green carpet, yuck! with a few cobwebs in corner, a bathroom door that did not open or shut without being pulled/pushed hard, a shower tray that filled up when taking a shower, although it looked like a new shower unit, the plumbing cannot cope it seems. Also the lock to the door was not correctly fitted and we had to get one of the guys to come up and help us lock the door... as we were unable!! Which was rather disconcerting

Breakfast the next day although nice in presentation was a bit steep for EUR8.50, it was a yogurt, a compote, croisant, bread and Tea or Coffee, Orange Juice was a supplement, However the plus point was that you could have it in your room, outside in the garden or breakfast room. However I know one couple when we were there (since everyone was outside) had to wait over 1/2 hour for breakfast in the breakfast room for them to be noticed!! even though it is right alongside the reception area!!

All in all the staff were friendly, a bit disorganised it seemed at times but genuine in character. The guy thereseemed to be the only one that was very helpful, providing recommendations and generally very cheerful. He was the the one person here that made the stay easier to handle.

Also to note as we were not explained this on booking, the reception is only open until 12 midday and then closed until 3pm, so if you arrive during this time you cannot check in, drop of bags or anything!! Which if you have been dropped in a taxi you need to be aware of otherwise you are stuck with bags!! We were lucky we had a car, but it was rather annoying to say the least, that we had to drive away bags and all and come back a few hours later!

All in all a nice place to stay, but there is just something missing that I cannot put my finger on that makes you consider not going back, possibyl its the appearance of disorganisation or Room 7 (unless you like coffin style rooms) that put us off . Kind of all mouth and no trousers style of establishment.,., looks nice but.....

Room Tip: Do not choose Room 7 unless you like Olive Carpet wall to ceiling and dark rooms!!

My husband and I stayed here in November for 3 nights. It made me feel like I was living in a true french home. The owners were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful getting the luggage upstairs. We had a room in the main house. It was very quiet and comfortable. A little dark in the room but that was about the only negative. We walked to town all 3 days, about 10 - 15 min. walk. Had breakfast once, and it is a typical french breakfast, a little pricey for what you get. We would definetly stay here again.

Location: about a 30 min walk to city center but a pleasant one.
Rooms: we were in a family room which had a double bed & two twin beds. The walls were covered in fabric with foam underneath to appear like wallpaper. Our room was in the renovated stable on the grounds. Very large bathroom but only a tub available.
Service: very nice and amiable. Oddly no curtains on glass door or window.
Breakfast: skip it, 8 euros for a croissant, jam, yogurt, apple sauce, juice & coffee.
Internet: a problem in our room, had to go to lobby for access.

Room Tip: More enjoyable in summer and spring so you can enjoy the grounds and walk into town. Take advantage...

We stayed at Hotel Le Home in September '11 and loved it. The hotel is a mansion house with an adjacent barn converted into luxury rooms. The young manager is extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel have charming sitting areas where we enjoyed a good bottle of wine near sunset. The room was very clean and quiet and the piece de resistance was the beautiful marble bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Breakfast could be delivered to the room or to the garden and can include fresh squeezed orange juice. The walk into the old center of Beaune took us only 8 minutes.

We only were able to stay one night, we wished we had more time. The rooms are small but comfortable. The upgrade rooms are worth the price. The grounds are nice. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center of Beaune. The additional breakfast was well worth the price. We hope to return soon!
