After much research, my wife and I stayed 5 nights at Le Verger du Sausset for our exploration of the Burgundy wine region of France. Marianne and Pascal are truly wonderful people and hosts! We really enjoyed the cultural experience of getting to know them and their other guests personally. The accommodations are very nice and Pascal maintains a large garden and orchard, which make for wonderful strolls and picnics. Marianne serves a wonderful breakfast each morning that includes fresh croissants and her homemade jams from the fruits grown in their orchard. Marianne and Pascal are especially helpful in getting you into the best restraints and local wineries in the region. Anyone who is interested in deeply exploring Burgundy, would be wise to stay at Le Verger du Sausset and avoid the area hotels.

We loved our stay with Marianne and Pascal (and Syrus the friendly chocolate labrador).
The room (more like a studio apartment without the kitchen) was beautiful and the perfect place for a bed picnic (with delicious local wine, cheese and baguettes)
Marianne and Pascal are great hosts and nothing was too difficult. We changed our booking about 4 times and they were accommodating every time.
Breakfast was fantastic (my favourite were the crepes). Highly recommended.

We stayed 3 nights with Pascal and Marianne and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They were exceptional hosts helping us hire a car, arranging wine tastings at some hidden gems around Beaune and even collecting us and leaving us back to the train station. We enjoyed their company and chat during breakfast while the very lovely Sirus (their cuddly, gentle chocolate labrador) lay patiently on his rug until we had finished eating and then was rewarded with a tummy rub.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable and would be lovely in the summer as it opened out onto the lovely garden. The house is about a 10 minute walk into Beaune and despite it raining most of the time we were there the walk was very pleasant and felt very safe. Beaune is a beautiful historic town and well worth a visit and even better it is surrounded by vineyards producing some of the best wine in the world so you don't have to go far to taste a little bit of heaven.

We would thoroughly recommend staying with Pascal, Marianne and Sirus and hope we will do so again soon.

My wife and I spent five nights at Le Verger du Sausset and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Marianne and Pascal are delightful people and their B&B is first rate. We chose Le Verger du Sausset based on reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend Le Verger du Sausset!

My wife and I stayed two nights with Marianne and Pascal and really enjoyed the room and their hospitality. Our bedroom was clean, comfortable, well furnished and had very good bathroom facilities. Marianne made excellent crepes and served them along with homemade jams, croissants and the ever present baguettes along with great coffee, juice and yogurt.

Their home is a short walk from the old city of Beaune with its numerous restaurants, wine cellars and the Hospital Dieu (which Pascal can tell you all about)
Marianne and Pascal were gracious hosts and we really enjoyed how they sat down with us at breakfast and chatted with us. The language barrier was not a problem (Pascall speaks adequate English to communicate and understands English quite well if you speak slowly.) They both have great senses of humor and we really enjoyed getting to know them.

Pascal is quite the gardener and their large yard has lots of berries, fruit trees and flowers. A lovely place to stay in Burgundy.

Room Tip: We stayed in the downstairs room and liked it. Plenty of room and very clean and quiet.

My wife and I recently stayed at the beautiful Le Verger du Sausset.
Pascal was a very charming host and Marianne plied us with her beautiful jam made from apricot trees and raspberry bushes on their 2 acre property.
The room was clean and very well appointed, and it had been set up with a very keen eye for detail which continually delighted us.
I would recommend this property without reservation to anyone wanting to stay within walking distance of the centre of Beaune.

Room Tip: Make the effort to walk to the bottom of their 2 acre garden.

My husband and I spent a few days in Beaune at the end of our Burgundy trip and were lucky enough to get a room at Le Verger. We had been staying in B&Bs on our trip, and we have stayed in them in France several times before, but this actually felt like we were staying with friends. It's the warmth of the welcome, the advice on restaurants and wineries to visit, the offer to use their bikes, to have Pascal, Marianne and the other guests all share a convivial moment together over breakfast as we prepare for the day. Obviously they have a business to run, but it is done with so much heart, that we quickly forgot we had only just met them! The rooms are clean, quiet, and have everything you need (and more). The bed was extremely comfortable. We could never finish breakfast, and it was freshly prepared with care. Sirus the labrador waited patiently for his belly-rubs. This is so much more than a B&B, and for the price, it's excellent value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend Le Verger and it's adorable hosts. We plan on coming back. See you soon Pascal and Marianne!
