“A class act”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Wonderful cellars, an interesting (non-pretnetious) tour, and outstanding wines (if not cheap). Do it just for the cellars and experience even if you do not inted to buy.

“Do this tour of their caves. Expensive and worth it. Lesson in history”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We stumbled upon this tour by following other people in a door. We needed a reservation but luckily they had space later that day. This tour has caves dating back from the 11th century that were bought over many years from several generations of the the Drouhin family who is still in ownership of the winery and caves. If you have not read Wine and War about hiding of the French wines during WWII you should. Maurice Drouhin plays a prominent role. This tour was a historical lesson, wine tasting and fascinating look at how wine has been made through the centuries.

“an exciting visit !”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

This estate finally opened its door ! and what an exciting visit, more than 2 hours of history and wine ! Now I understand why Burgundy is one of the best wine region in the world. You start by a visit of the oldest cellars in Beaune (the press room is wonderful) and you finish by a tasting of 6 very good wines from the whole burgundy. Thanks to the delightful Arnaut, the guide, (a native from burgundy passionate by wine) who is very knowledgable and speaks a very good english. A must see visit for wine lovers !

“A must see for lovers of wine and history”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

My wife and I purchased a second home in Pommard in 2005. We visit 3 or 4 times a year and have been waiting for this domaine in Beaune to open to the public. One word: GO. The price is high, but you are paying for access to the history of Beaune going back 2000 years. These cellars trace the economic, political and wine-making history of the entire region. And, you will taste some extraordinary bottles at the end of the tour. Our private guide did a wonderful job and deserves five stars. Great tours available in English and French. If you are a wine lover, and are traveling through the region, put this on your must-do list.
