Via Mokis met all the qualifications for a perfect dining experience.
My husband and I were first impressed with the warm greeting and and quick seating. (We did have reservations). Also impressive was the eclectic and tasteful decor and unique table wear. The atmosphere was relaxed but with enough energy so that it didn't feel stuffy.
The food and presentation were absolutely outstanding. I ordered the snails to start which were traditionally and well prepared. Delicious! My main course of scallops with a sweet potato purée was also excellent.
My husband asked to order ala carte the fish from the prix fixe menu and his request was happily accommodated. He was even served a small complimentary pumpkin soup and loved his chocolate dessert.
We requested help with our wine selection and were guided by the owner, who is super helpful and knowledgable, and had a truly memorable white Burgundy.
I highly recommend Via Mokis Restaurant and hope to return before we leave Beaune.
