Via Mokis met all the qualifications for a perfect dining experience.
My husband and I were first impressed with the warm greeting and and quick seating. (We did have reservations). Also impressive was the eclectic and tasteful decor and unique table wear. The atmosphere was relaxed but with enough energy so that it didn't feel stuffy.
The food and presentation were absolutely outstanding. I ordered the snails to start which were traditionally and well prepared. Delicious! My main course of scallops with a sweet potato purée was also excellent.
My husband asked to order ala carte the fish from the prix fixe menu and his request was happily accommodated. He was even served a small complimentary pumpkin soup and loved his chocolate dessert.
We requested help with our wine selection and were guided by the owner, who is super helpful and knowledgable, and had a truly memorable white Burgundy.
I highly recommend Via Mokis Restaurant and hope to return before we leave Beaune.

Excellent cuisine, wonderful (and unusual) flavour combinations with no one ingredient overpowering. The fixed price menus display the chef's creativity superbly and do not leave you feeling as if you've over-indulged. The large wine selection especially by the glass is a wonderful showcase for burgundies - in particular the Ladoix at Eu12 - great value for such a refined white and of course the Santenay (rouge) at Eu9 again an excellent option to accompany beef and creamy morille sauce. Service is also very good and Marc the owner takes great personal pride in his restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms are very funky and spacious and beds and bedlinen very comfy. Just what you need after a long motorway drive either noth or south through France. We will be visiting again this summer - if not sooner. Eileen

A welcome change from the traditional "bourguignonne" cuisine in the heart of Beaune. Exotic ingredients and spices add a touch of invention to first-rate local produce. Service is absolutely lovely, although a bit slow. Good wine list at reasonable prices. Modern decor. Menus at 24 and 35 euros are excellent value. A very good address.

Well design lighting and candles layout with African wooded statues.
This is a 5* white Linen, muse bouch and well charactered establishment. Marc is the owner and make sure he talks to you about his personal Local wine selections.
Everything is delicious, this is not a house wine place, every wine choice has a personality. Listen to him and you will be pleased even at the 5-7 euro price range.
We got a wine tasting recommendation for tomorrow and am trying out his local choice.
Stay tuned

We were lucky this restaurant was not directly on the tourist track so managed to get a table. Marc Siles is the owner and the chef has worked with top chefs in Asia as well. The food was simply divine and the service friendly. We should have come here on our last night in Beaune rather than our second last night because it was such a high standard. We will be back!
