St Malo was our last stop during our one month trip to Europe including a home exchange but a long driving trip from Bretagne down to San Sebastien, then up to St. Malo before returning to Bretagne and the flight back to the US. This hotel was selected as a last minute addition to our itinerary and we are so glad we did - we liked it and St. Malo so much we stayed an additional day. The room we had (4) had a balcony with a small ocean view (between the houses), comfortably furnished and with an excellent bathroom. The lounge area and hotel staff were very welcoming so we spent many an afternoon playing cards, having drinks, and generally relaxing. The free parking was much appreciated, as was the good wifi, excellent assistance with directions and restaurant recommendations, and quick attention to requests, and good location for access to the coast and old section of town. We really enjoyed their restaurant recommendation Coude a Coude where the chef prepared simple dishes expertly and with deft touch (lemongrass in the beurre blanc sauce on Tom's St. Pierre fish dish). They were very agreeable to providing dishes and glassware so we could eat in the room when we were tired of dining out. We did not try the breakfast, preferring to instead grab a croissant and koehn ammand and cafe au lait at cafe's. The area in which the hotel is located is a mixed residential, boutique hotel area and has restaurants, cafe's, stores, etc within walking distance. The coastal promenade is one block away. Highly recommend this hotel.

When we travel to Saint Malo we have always stayed at this incredible little hotel. It is close enough to Saint Malo that you can walk yet it is far enough away that you have none of the city noises and traffic. The single most important feature of this hotel is the staff. A terrific group of people that will try to help you in any way that they can. The rooms are kept very clean and are attended to in a timely manner. They have a small breakfast room and serve a very nice day starter for the guests. The location is very near the walkway that runs along the seawall. A beautiful walk and a fun way to get to the main city. We have never been anything but extremely pleased with our stays at thsi hotel.

From the moment we spoke to Marie on the telephone to book, till we checked out, the following morning we could not find fault with this hotel. As non french speakers, it could not have been made easier for us, the hotel was spotless, light fresh and airy. No restaurant , however Marie reccommended a restaurant less than 5 mins walk along the promanade which was excelent both in food quality and value for money .
The breakfast bar was beautifully laid out ,with an excelent variety.I t was a pity we only had time for 1 night but we will back .

A second visit to this lovely hotel confirmed a previous impression. The staff are so friendly and helpful with regard to the local area, the rooms are beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. Parking is easy either in the small hotel park or in the street outside. If there is a downside it is a step into the old town, but a benefit if you wish to walk off a good dinner from one of the many excellent restaurants, and a nice walk along the seafront which has a lovely well lit promenade. We shall visit again.

This 3 star hotel could teach many, no, most - 4 & 5 star establishments about service and friendliness. From the friendly greeting through to the genuinely meant 'Bonne Journee' the staff were impeccable without being in any way fawning. In between they were extremely attentive and really thought about what the guests might want or need. This is no doubt good management by the owners leading to a happy atmosphere.
I endorse all the other positive comments on TA. Rooms were very pleasant - ours was huge. Our room was also very disabled friendly - worth noting if required - with very easy entrance and totally flat throughout.
Breakfast was very good and the hotel has a lovely bar. The location could be a little difficult for some as the hotel is 35 minutes frrom the old town and the walk gets a bit challenging when the sea comes over the seawall as it did when we were there! The area is very pleasant being mostly up- market holiday mansions and villas. There are a few restaurants nearby. The Coude a la Coude was excellent (recommended by the hotel) and reasonably priced for the very high standard of cooking.
All in all highly recommended if visiting St Malo.
