We liked the feeling of getting lost repeatedly again and again AND the comfortable confidence sooner or later we bump into the city-walls and we gonna find our way again (basically climbing onto the ramparts to get a better view). They also sell delicious cookery here )in fact, in the whole Brittany region).

To think that this town was totally destroyed in the second world war and rebuilt stone by stone to resemble the ancient city is awesome. It is a beautiful place with spectacular views and lots to do. We loved overlooking the beach at low tide and then seeing the huge change when the tide came in.

A walk around the ramparts of beautiful St Malo is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours - placards at intervals giving an insight into the historical significance of certain aspects - recommended

Stunning Views of the sea and islands. Beaches on three sides. Granite building soar above you as sea birds swop and shriek. A real corsair city.

Worthwhile walk. Great views. Watch boats launching below - and see the open air swimming pool reveal itself as the tide goes out!
