This hotel was built in the 1700’s it is located on the sea behind a medieval wall which encompasses the city. The hotel is old but well taken care of. If you are looking for a US Chain hotel this isn’t it. When traveling in Europe you need to get the right perspective.
This is Europe, ancient cities and sites that go back centuries. Go with the flow and enjoy your step back in history. The square that surrounds this hotel as well as the Property itself is surrounded by great sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The food is great at each of them. Hang out enjoy some great seafood and have some drinks and chill out. This is a seaport area with a massive wall you can walk on but for the most part it’s a great stop over on your way for a couple days. The shopping is very good as well. Not a kids place but great for the over 55 crowd. St Malo nice side trip from Normandy if that’s on your schedule.
The hotel offers a very good breakfast and has a beautiful dinning roomMore
