This was a nice, elegant historic hotel inside the Intra Muros of Saint Malo. The room was quite big, well decorated and gave a wiew to the main public square and the rampards of the part of the city inside the old city walls. Lots of resturants on the square and the sea and beach just a few steps away.

Our family stayed here in July 2012. Very convenient location. Try to get the newly remodeled room. We ended up with and older family room one facing the city. However, the new rooms face the water and they are pretty. Just walk around this beautiful city and soak up the atmosphere.

our room had a sea view , this was great to wake up and look out over the fort and see the sunrise. The outside bar area is in the main square within the walls in St Mal. Great place to stay friendly staff and the attention to detail taken by whoever looks after the flower baskets in front of the reception area was worth seeing .

Room Tip: we stayed overlooking the sea, this was a bit noisy early morning , delivery lorry's but worth t...

we got our room at about 35 pound each and the room for the value was a good size and bathroom was a good size. The only one bad thing was the first night we got there they said our room wouldnt be clean for an hour which was fine as we could leave our bags and go for a look around saint malo, but when we returned 2 hours later it will still not ready took rouglhy about another hour till we could go in and the receptionest kept saying it was ready we take our luggage up and the cleaner was in the room. ( that was only bad point, oh and breakfest if its free ok but if you have to pay dont bother.)
The secound time we stayed room was ready but it cost us $44 each and the room was small but had a fab shower! i would stay in this hotel again but maybe learn french word for hurry up cleaning our room just incase!

Ate lunch here in June during one of our tour stops. Very good food and service and a great place to relax when you have had enought sightseeing. The house wines are good and very affordable.

We have stayed here regularly over the last 20 years - our daughter wanted to go there for her 21st 10 years ago. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms vary with a variety of sizes, views and prices. we like the ones overlooking the lively Square. Parking is extra but worth it as it is situated Intra muros, but as another reviewer said, not for the feint hearted or huge cars unless you are a confident good driver!!

Food great - we usually sit on the terrace and watch the world go by (better now this is improved as the waiting staff thought we were mad English as we insisted on eating outside even though it was raining and we were the only people on the terrace! Good service.

I love breakfast - big choice, fresh orange juice and croissants and a great boiled egg machine that the children loved when they were small. The breakfast room is beautiful.

Historic building in an historic town. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking Square and Castle provide great people-watching opportunities (including fire eate...

Had an evening meal here 2nd June - picked 2 set menu's - both pretty poor - My wife had icecream for desert - 2 scoops -! very small amount - my tart tattin - made from pured apple - reheated too long. I wouldnt bother having food here they obviously dont need repeat custom - just sell the great location.
