“Good for St Malo”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

It's only by looking trip advisor that I find this hotel in St Malo for one night.
Was very surprise of the quality, modern Hotel, 4* and not bad price too.
Had the standard room, not very big but everything you need is there, sleepers, bathrobe, tea and coffee. But was comfortable but pillows a bit small.
free wifi is a bonus.
The pool at the top is small but relaxing.
the bar was excellent and very cosy with a touch of modern too.
staff are ok but could be more friendly.
Did not eat at the restaurant, menu was too fussy for me, each dishes have spice or herbs or vanilla.
You are 15min walk from the old city.

Room Tip: Can ask for sea view

Usually stay in a cheaper hotel when visiting Saint Malo, but this was worth the extra as we got a good room rate.
A new hotel only opened in May 11.
About a 10-15 minute walk from the walled city, but pleasant along the seafront overlooking the wonderful beach. We had a partial seaview room which was quite large by French standards.
We didn't eat here, but the staff were pleasant and attentive.
You can park your car for free at the back of the hotel or pay about 12 Euros for the garage.
No noise from the street which is a good option compared to some of the older properties in the walled city.

We liked very much the hotel entirely, everything was well thought, we admired the solutions and the ideas they had in the room, to create space for everything: working space, luggage space, toiletries space, amenities space, etc.We had a room with balcony and sea view, not very big, but perfectly decorated and furnished with high quality products.
We tried the restaurant and the bar as well, they were both very good and very cosy, we could admire the magnificent spectacle of the tides from their windows.
Perhaps it is a little pricey, but we are used to the prices in France, they are high and sometimes not justified at all by what you receive, but here was not the case!

Room Tip: The ones with the sea view, and , if possible, with balcony are charming

The hotel is located opposite the beach a short walk from the "Ramparts" in St. Malo.
The views are spectacular out to sea and the rooms are very well appointed with very comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms and a Nespresso machine for that early morning coffee.
The restaurant in the hotel is good but expensive and with so many excellent restaurants tucked away in the small streets and alleyways inside the walled town of St. Malo, there is excellent choice.
Parking in the hotel car park is charged at Euro 14 per day but off-season it is easy to find parking in the street behind the hotel.
Dogs are accepted in the hotel with a surcharge of Euro 14 per day - welcome news for dog lovers who travel with their pets.

Room Tip: The hotel opened in the summer of 2012 and is very well finished. Double glazing is very effective a...

This is a lovely new hotel right by the sea, in St. Malo. Very contemporary in style, clean, neat and quiet. The wi-fi didn't work from the rooms when we were there, but I was able to access it in the lobby. I'd think that these problems would be worked out by now, since I stayed there right after it had opened. I was only there for one night, but would stay there again. Can't think of anything that I didn't like about it. Staff was friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, too.

Brand new hotel. Room was beautiful; well laid out, great amenities; even Nespresso coffee machine with pods!!!! French coffee is awful so having Nespresso in your room is fantastic.
Opened our window at night and fell asleep to sounds of waves on the Beach. Hotel is located across the street from the Beach. The beach is hard packed so great for walking on when the tide is out. Underground secure parking, great staff, great location close to the old city.

Room Tip: Book on the internet and look for specials

Newly built and opened three months ago in May 2012, as expected, everything was immaculate. Tasteful, comfortable quality furnishing and decor. A beautiful room with stunning sea views and balcony were worth the extra cost. If one was disturbed by the gush of surf rushing over sand, once closed, the solid double glazed doors kept out all sound. One big complaint. Although check-in is given as 15.00, at 15.10 the room wasn't ready and we were told to wait 20 minutes, which eventually turned out to be almost one hour. The explanation given was they were full the previous day. In August, that should be expected and sufficient staff hired to cope with room preparation, especially in a 4* hotel. During our wait we were not offered refreshments and when I asked to speak with the hotel manager, he or she was not available and my complaint rested with the Reception Manager, so may not have been passed on up the line. A complimentary bottle of wine in the restaurant or some other small concession would have gone a long way to soften my complaint, but was not forthcoming. A missed opportunity to put things right, during what was otherwise a most perfect stay.

Room Tip: If the budget allows, book a room with sea views and high up, 4th or 5th floor.
