Very nice boutique hotel , excellent location by the sea and walking distance to Saint Malo. Very good breakfast(extra payment) . Try to book sea view rooms . The negatives are small elevator and no lobby . Parking 300 meters far way from the hotel (extra payment) . No air condition

Room tip: Book ocean view room

The ancient town of St Malo has a tourist presence but it's definitely not a resort. There are hotels but finding one on the beach is relatively difficult. This is where the Ambassadeurs scores heavily as the sea is barely 5 metres from the doors of the restaurant (a creperie). It is a small boutique hotel with about 15 or so rooms, but most face the ocean. As the rooms are not overlooked it is quite possible to lie in bed with the sound of the sea to lull you to sleep! The rooms are small however although well furnished and with most comfortable beds. There is a rooftop bar serving drinks and cocktails, you can get a wonderful view of the sunset but at those prices you'll spin out your first drink! Breakfast in the creperie is really quite good and costs close to the going rate locally. The request for gluten free food caused real consternation, but then that's no different from anywhere else in France according to our experience.
In short a lovely boutique hotel with small but comfortable rooms, really comfortable beds and a great view of the sea, if a little pricey.
PS I really advise booking the secure car parking in a nearby underground park as the street parking is scarce and likely to result in bodywork remodelling that's not to your taste.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel where we spent five nights. We had a room with an ocean view. When the tide was in we felt as if we were on an ocean liner as the sound of the sea was so close. The roof terrace provided stunning views and friendly service at the rooftop bar. The room was small as has been said, but perfectly adequate for our needs. It was clean and modern with a good shower room. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the breakfast and also lunches of gallettes and crêpes. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely little hotel with a great location! You can sit and have your breakfast and look at the ocean that is really close! The walk in to the old town is about 15 min and inside the walls it's really cosy! Lots of shops and restaurants! The room we stayed in did not face the ocean, would have loved to had one of those rooms! The room was really small but we didn't miss anything and the bathroom was really nice, looked newly renovated! Breakfast was small and not a huge choice but good enough! The staff was really nice and polite! Loved this hotel!

I love the staff here, they are so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The views of the ocean are very nice. The breakfast in the morning with the ocean view is also amazing. They will ask you if you'd like a crepe or an egg to go along with the many options of bread, meats, jelly, yogurt and more... The coffee is delicious. I'll be back and will recommend my traveler friends stay here.
