Despite all of the ongoing redevelopment around the station it did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable overnight stay at this hotel. Facing the SNCF Gare it is literally just a one minute walk away.

Upon arrival we found the reception (24/7) to be most helpful and welcoming and the well proportioned double room very clean, comfortable and well appointed. A good size bathroom, writing desk & chair, relaxing tub chair, suit/trouser stand, television and tea/coffee making facility all complemented the occasion. The double glazing ensured there was no noise from the busy station resulting in a good night's sleep.

In the morning we enjoyed a hearty breakfast from the varied choice of items on offer.

Le Florin provides good value for money and we shall be happy to stay again when next visiting this lovely city.

First, let me say there is a nice staff, especially Aure sp?, she did her best. The hotel is right across the street from a major construction site, looks like it will be an extension of the train station. The hotel is dusty and musty from the construction and it is hard to breath in the rooms. I was told that construction starts at 8 am and finishes at 7 or 8 pm. Fortunately, a heavy rain started at 3 pm so the construction crew left early (about 5 pm). Anyone with asthma shouldn't consider staying here. The carpet is very stained and the walls are dirty. At the very least the hotel needs to paint the room and recarpet. There is a TV, but no hot water kettle, mini-bar, box of tissues or shower cap. There is only soap from a dispenser and one trash basket in the bathroom. The closet has three hangers and three skirt hangers. I have stayed at five hotels on this trip, and this is the only one that does not have an English language station on the TV line-up. Once the construction is finished it might be acceptable to stay for one night if you have an early train to catch the next morning.

Dear Madam, Thank for leaving a message. Of course there is construction but there 2 double windows the make it quiet in the room. and we propose you another room on the other side but you didn't like see the courtyard. About the equipment I have to inform you again that we are no star hotel and of course the price is for a no star hotel. But we clean all the rooms every day and we are carefully about hygiene. We feel sad you didn't like your stay but please note that we try to make everyone happy. Best regards Yann D. Manager

The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke at least some English. The room was fine, clean and comfortable and had a small balcony. The downside was the breakfast: buffet with no hot food and the only savoury items on offer were ham and cheese.Everything else was sweet and sugary. It was not really great quality.

Room tip: Quiet rooms at the back of the hotel. Major building works going on around the station, ie. right in front of the hotel.

Great value hotel just outside the station. Room spotless. Comfortable bed. Sound proofed which is good as it's a noisy corner. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. All in all a little gem.

Very practical location, opposite the train station, which also has a metro stop. The airport bus however does not stop at the trainstation, you should take the metro for 2 stops to Republique. But you can also use the 1 hour metro ticket on the airport bus. If you prefer to walk to the city centre, it will take 15 minutes.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was light and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Only the shower hook on which you have to hang the shower was broken, so you could not properly use it.

The breakfast was decent, but I did not like the bread that much (they had 2 types but neither to my taste). Could be my personal preference. But that made 10 euro for breakfast quite expensive.
