Our return visit to this lovely manor house confirmed our opinion that it is one of the best B&Bs that we have ever stayed in. Our charming and engaging hosts made very effort to ensure that we had a wonderful stay, providing delicious breakfasts and ensuring that we had all of the information and assistance that we needed. The rooms are elegant and well-appointed in a traditional style with delightful views over the park and to the River Odet. The Manoir de Lanroz is ideally located for visits to the city of Quimper and the coast. We would recommend it without hesitation.

We have just returned from a tour of Normandy and Brittany staying at many Chambres D'hotes. This was our favourite.
We loved our 3 night stay with Genevieve and Erik de Brommer in this beautiful historic Manoir. Contrary to some reviews we found it easy to locate. It was perfectly situated on the banks of the Odet, near historic Quimper and on the road to Fouesnant and Benodet- not forgetting the idyllic sandy beaches of Beg Meil, where our children loved to play when they were young.
In chorus with other reviews we would like to echo the comments about the comfort of the Manoir, the cleanliness, the amazing breakfasts (with a surprise everyday) and overwhelmingly- the sincere welcome by our host and hostess, who helped us feel like we were personal guests.
Just to add a little adventure to our stay a 'sounder' of wild boar came out to greet us one night, on the long driveway.
Thank you, for an unforgettable stay.

Fortunately that we found this fantastic B&B in tripadvisor. This 17-century historic building (chateau actually) was located in a private forest. I'm not quite sure about the size of the forest, but it is at least several km squares because you must drive 2.6 km from the entry in the roadside to the building. Taking a walk in the forest is a must. You can see lots of trees (of course..), mushrooms, birds, or even a Bambi if you're lucky enough (not for us). The path will lead to a point that 2 rivers cross (Eric will tell you how to get there). Sitting on the riverbank, looking at the sunset in the breeze, the picturesque view will relieve all your stress. Eric and Geneve were very friendly and hospitable. This 3 nights stay is the best experience we had in France.

Located in a protected park the beautiful Manoir de Lanroz is the perfect place for those seeking for peace and relaxation.
Once we discovered this magnificent Manoir by internet we looked forward to spend some nights there; and our high expectations were even far exceeded!
Our hosts, Genevieve and Eric were friendly, helpful and provided a very warm welcome. From the beginning we felt like home in the pleasant atmosphere created by Genevieve and Eric, which still left enough room for privacy.
The roms are spacious, absolutely clean with modern comfort and equipped with a phantastic view over the park and the bordering river. And with a bit luck you will even spot a "renard" while strolling aroung the park in the evening!
The breakfast is "superbe" with fresh fruits, home-made marmelades (try the kiwi!) and cakes. Qimper is only 10 min away by car and some of the most exiting hiking trails of the Bretagne are in near distance.
This is definitly one of the best accomodations we had in years and we will be happy to return some day to enjoy this pleasant atmosphere again.

We have the fondest memories of our stay at Manoir de Lanroz. Such a beautiful property in a fantastic location. The rooms have all the old-world charm but don't lack in comfort in any way. Such lovely hosts - so attentive, accommodating and willing to recommend hidden gems. The breakfast was just delicious. Everything was perfect. We stayed 3 nights and wished we'd stayed longer. We'll definitely be back one day!

Merci Genevieve et Eric.

Genevieve and Eric are a charming couple that welcome you in the most beautiful manor of Britanny. It is amongst the famous Celtic triangle Quimper-plozevet-Penmarc'h ..., at the heart of Britanny's strong culture where sailors like Tabarly came from and where the the strong Britons are from. You overlook a natural reserve of woods with the view of the river L Odet. It is so peaceful that you can, if you are lucky, see deer and wild boar. Apparently there is a lot of history since the family have the house since 1640 and some royalty from England made a halt in one of the rooms of the house.....
A delicious time away from all busy life with Genevieve who cooks you a breakfast home made from the woods!!! Ask for the jam or the mushrooms cepes....

a hidden treasure that is hard to find in the Finistere!

We went there for a couple of nights and we really appreciate the wonderful atmosphere of this magnificent real Manoir. The breakfast in the 1800s room was charming and we really enjoyed walking with our baby in the forest. Not very easy to reach.
