We enjoyed a great 2 day break at this hotel before going to catch the ferry at St Malo. The hotel staff were all very helpful and welcoming and the room we had was lovely and clean and recently refurbished. The weather was lovely too and we made use of the swimming pool on our last day. The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot on the riverside with a free car park behind with plenty of spaces. We walked up the steep hill into Dinan and explored the beautiful town. We had a great time and would certainly stay here again. A great hotel!

Brilliant location by the river, great food & friendly staff, swimming pool a bit small but nice & clean with sunbeds. Bedroom excellent as was the bathroom, all were very very clean. Would stay here any time, look out for the offers with Booking.com

Room Tip: Go for a comfort plus room on the ground floor or on the first floor with a balcony

My wife and I stayed here for two nights this August. Dinan is great, and this hotel was a great way of experiencing it. Yes, the walk up the hill would be trying if out-of-shape or older but the selection of restaurants nearby and the free parking more than make up for it. As for the hotel itself, the staff and facilities are excellent. All staff members I encountered spoke English well. The room was large, spotlessly clean, quiet, and very clearly recently upgraded. The only downside is the exorbitantly priced breakfast (which we didn't have), but this is easily circumvented by simply walking five minutes to one of the cafes next door where everything is much, much cheaper. The bottom line is that if you are traveling by car, I'd save a lot of trouble finding parking and navigating the town and simply stay here and explore on foot. Outstanding hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south hallway are very quiet with not many people walking by and I do not believe there is a second floor on this section of the hotel, so no upstairs noise.

Stayed here with friends who were visiting the area, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The bathroom was more a wetroom, but very well fitted - my only criticism is: please can hotels provide a shelf or, preferably, shelves, where guests can place their toilettries. We had to place our toilet bags on the floor, which is not ideal. The weather was glorious, so we enjoyed the pool area, but did not take advantage of the gym or jacuzzi, which looked very good. We slept very well until a lorry started unloading outside our room at 7.30 a.m.! We didn't take the breakfast, because we thought that it was expensive at 14 euros per person, but enjoyed a very good petit dejeuner in a cafe on the other side of the river. Will we be back - yes, when we have more visitors who want to experience the delights of Dinan.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that doesn't overlook the carpark because of early morning deliveries.

Although pre-children we would have probably gone for one of the more historic hotels in the city centre we decided on this hotel as a) it had a swimming pool - a must apparently for our two 5 year olds and b) it had good reviews on trip advisor.
Also the manager was very friendly and helpful when I rang en route and explained that though there was not a family suite available he could do a suite with a single fold out bed if we didn't mind sleeping with the other child in the queen size bed. This seemed a good option for us as we were fed up being separated in two double rooms for most of the holiday. The hotel is right on the river bank which is lined with boats and restaurants providing a lovely atmosphere for lunch/evening meals and is probably actually nicer than staying in town - definitely more relaxing. The suite had recently been refurbished and was spacious and overlooked the pool/courtyard - it also had a great bathroom with the best shower of the holiday. Although the hotel is a 'modern' hotel the location, space and super friendly staff (particularly the manager) make it a very desirable option for staying in Dinan. We eat in one of the restaurants opposite the hotel so can't comment on the food but we did have the quick breakfast option in the morning which was good value at 5 euros. The pool was smallish but more than enough to keep the kids happy and there was also a hot tub and mini gym. Would stay here again and for longer than the one night.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms appear to have little decked terraces looking on to the pool.
