We stayed there for one night. Warm welcome by the receptionist. The rooms are quite small but clean. Beautiful and large garden with great view. No private parking, but parking is possible just opposite to the hotel on the square. Excellent situated to explore the old city. We didn't eat at the hotel as there are many restaurants in the historic centre.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights whilst touring Brittany. Staff were most helpful and friendly, I got the feeling that the hotel has been recently refurbished. The main areas were pleasantly modern and the hotel has a fantastic garden which integrates into the ramparts. Having done quite a bit of driving we settled for two nights and had a quick drive to Dinard had a look round then took the vedette over to St Malo. This worked out really well for us and saved moving on to visit Dinard and St Malo.

Room Tip: If you are looking to save the odd euro and don't intend to spend lots of time in the room the s...

Perfect for a stopover.
Pleasant greeting from the man in reception. Shown to our room which was pleasant, clean and well kept. The decor is dated but not offensive in any way and the room was quite small.
The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Dinan as it is smack bang in the middle of town.
If you are looking for a base this is PERFECT. If you are looking for sumptuous furnishings and huge rooms then this is not the hotel for you.
We stayed at the front of the hotel which I have to say is extremely well soundproofed.
If I were to return I would probably stay elsewhere but only to try somewhere new. I wasn't blown away by this accommodation and that's why I gave it this rating.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel in June. Hotel lobby, bar, and gardens are very beautiful. Our room was quite plain and a little cramped. The bathroom was spacious and modern. There was no air conditioning so our room was uncomfortable at times. Location was perfect for seeing Dinan and travelling around the area. We parked right across from the hotel which was very convenient. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. We did have drinks in the garden one evening which everyone should do. WiFi was extremely slow at first but improved later in our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Hotel Le d'Avaugour in early June, 2012. It is a perfect location for exploring the city on foot and convenient to plenty of great restaurants. (We did not eat breakfast at the hotel.) The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room faced the street, so I was worried that it would be noisy, but it wasn't a problem. The room was a typical size for a European hotel. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, though next time we'll ask for a garden view!

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view!

We stayed in the family suite for 3 nights with our two daughters. The hotel is located in the old city district with lots of shops and restaurants close by. The hotel was charming and clean, and the staff was very helpful in assisting us with travel plans. I was particularly impressed with our room. It was quite spacious for the 4 of us, and it had 2 full bathrooms. If you have another child, there is plenty of room for a cot.Our parents travelled with us. The standard room that they had was pretty small, as you would get with many Europian hotels.

We had a rental car, and parking was not an issue. There are two big public lots across from the hotel. One is a pay by the hour, and the other one is an automatic charge lot. We were surprised that the automated lot was not that expensive, maybe 7 Euros for overnight. This lot always had spaces, but I did notice a sign that says it is closed on Thursdays for the market.

The gardens were lovely, and we were surprised to see that the property runs along the city wall. Nice views from the garden, since it is built along the wall. I thought that Dinan was a great location to stay and visit Brittany. I'm really glad we had a chance to see this amazing, historical town. The town itself was one of my favorite sights in Britanny. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: The family suite was much larger than a standard room.
