“Very nice place to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2008

Our experience was so different from the last reviewer's that it's hard to believe this was the same restaurant. Serving staff were helpful and very friendly, no problem about being seated inside (next to the colour-changing bar, which can be a bit hypnotic!). Good food too. I didn't have it, but the seafood risotto looked very good. If they would only put the gazpacho on the dinner menu as well as the lunch menu, I'd like the plavce even more!

“My worst restaurant experience in Carnac, France”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2008

Carnac is a fun and family friendly place to visit on the north west coast of France. However having visited the above mentioned restaurant I am sorry to say they are definitely not friendly to well mannered sober English couples that speak enough French to get by and be polite in a restaurant.

We arrived at the restaurant on the last night of our holiday to be told to sit at the back of the restaurant by the smokers at the open glass doors. We weren't allowed to sit at the front of the restaurant inside in the warm despite there being many vacancies, and a pregnant lady amongst the small party.

We didn't get served for a drink or given a menu for half an hour whilst those around us that arrived after were on their 'entrees' we were still sitting there with nothing. We had to ask to be served at every point during the meal which was tiresome and frustrating - the meal however was very good but their service to even the nicest Brits was very off hand.
