“Pretentious and average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012 via mobile

We went here on the basis of reviews and were disappointed. It was a low season Thursday night & we hadn't booked, but they made a big thing of 'allowing' us to eat without a reservation. The service was terrible; rude, slow & arrogant.
Food was ok, nothing special & there's such a wide choice of fish restaurants nearby that I wouldn't go here again in a hurry.
The bill came to €71, but they tried to charge us €107 for some reason??! We didn't leave a tip.

“Top Seafood Restaurant in Brest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2012

Located on the port so plenty of character near by, about 4 of the upstairs tables are located in the upper full length windows, they have great views across the port (you will need to book these), lots of seafood to chose from. all of it fresh and delicious. The service is spot on very professional and friendly. If you are looking for seafood in Brest I think this is the place to go, reasonable pricing too around €30 for 2 course lunch with coffee. You can sit outside too in the summer. Also It's just across the road from the fish market where you can buy your own fresh fish.

“Great seafood at reasonable price”

Great service, great seafood and at a good price. By the way the view of the harbor is also worth the trip. When in Brest go there!

“highly recommended”

this is truly a fantastic restaurant (no, really). we were recommended to go here by the cute hotel abalys and we thought we might try it first to see how far the hotel's recommendations were plausible and not just business partners helping each other with advertising. maybe we were lucky; we were strolling along on the boulevard on a sunny day in late summer, got a great table outside under the tent-roofed terrace without a reservation and the people were really nice. we ordered a menu (for me) and one of the plateaux de fruits de mer (for my wife), with a wonderful little white wine, recommended by the lovely staff. the menu was great (oysters for starters, main course fried fish & a mousse for dessert), but it was the plateau of fresh seafood which was really, really excellent (I helped my wife eat): langoustines, prawns, oysters, half a crab and legion of other shellfish - really decadent and superb value for money. was very impressed, satisfied & will go back when we return to brest.

“Enjoy the atmosphere of the Port”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

The restaurant is located facing the busy commercial port of Brest adjacent to the newly developed Marina Le Chateau. At the weekends it is necessary to book as the place can be crowded resulting in long delays for walk-ins. In good weather one can eat outside and inside there are two floors with an open full-height atrium in the centre. We ate upstairs. On a Sunday night in mid-April the place was buzzing. As the name implies, it is a fish restaurant with a wide variety of fish, crustaceans and shellfish on offer. We chose a three course dinner menu priced at 25euro per head. Wines varied in price from 18euro per bottle. The food was excellent and the service was good on this occasion though I have suffered from delays on a previous visit. Good value and well worth a visit.
